A low turn out an election call on the first week of school holidays a nightmare with postal votes . Lots of snp voters just didn't vote a lot of voters in Scotland refuse to vote in a Westminster election

Our postal votes still haven't arrived until this very day. We just knew they'd eff it up again, so we went to the UK just to vote last week. 5 days earlier we drove from 1) Chiemsee (Bavaria, near Munich) to Paris to vote in the French elections (hubby is semi-French, me by marriage), distance: 1000 kms 2) then drove from Paris to London to vote there = 500 kms, 3) then back to Paris for the second round, another 500 kms, 4) then back from Paris to Munich = another 1000 kms. 🤦‍♀️ And no, no vacation, working in the car, in the train, in my in-laws living room, in guest cubicles. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Our young lady (4.5) in the meantime spoilt rotten by our Housekeeper and my parents. Just for the records: french postal votes usually DO work, but not within such short timeframes, or one might vote in dedicated locations like the French embassy or venues rented from the local German government in the next big town, i.e. in Munich. But since we went to the UK anyway, Paris more or less was 'en route'. Only the UK fails to offer casting one's vote in her embassies - don't ask me why? Greetings from Bavaria 🇪🇺
