A 16-year-old and a 7-year-old are very different. For Secondary 4 students, as long as they follow the COVID-19 regulations (Wearing a mask, trace together, hand sanitiser etc.), they will be fine. However, the immune system of a 7-year-old is weaker than a Sec 4 student, and they need to be watched often to make sure they don't accidentally get themselves sick. I've read stories of children swapping masks with each other and trying to lick surfaces, it's weird. Plus, if all schools were pushed back further for the Secondary 4 students, they would have less time to learn and revise for O Levels. People might find it comfortable to study at home, but some students might need teacher consultations or their household isn't conducive to study in.

I don't know what you're complaining about. So it's either going back to school with safety measures in place, or not being adequately prepared for the O'levels. Or deferring your O'levels if you felt so strongly about your safety. You had a choice. Don't pretend you don't. During the SARS outbreak, I was a uni student and there was NO e-learning of any kind. We went for lessons throughout the entire SARS period. Things have improved greatly since so pipe down and wait for your O'level results.
