Looks likes a success for first day for all the kids! I teach second grade and it is fun to see the other side of how kids experience their first day of school and can I tell you that teacher also have many of the same experiences and thoughts as we begin a new school year. My first day of school in not until the 17 of Aug and the kids don't start until the 28th. I am surprised that you still have to sign so many papers for the kids. All of our parents do everything on line and they love it!!! Have a great school year Crazy Middles!!!
Aubrey reminds me of my daughter. My daughter is a Freshman this year in high school and she has played the violin for 5 years and last year she learnt how to play the cello as she has symphonic orchestra in school and they got to try out each other's instruments. She has also taught herself to play the piano. She taught herself to play the piano at 3 by watching the pianist at church. She also sings and is in her second year of Navy Junior ROTC. This year she is in all honors programs except Math and she will be taking German.
Im glad you all had a great 1st day back at school. I know today is day 4 of being back. I hope youre all more settled now and have made new friends. It was so lovely for Kyle and Marc to buy donoughts for you all for breakfast. I really love your close bond with each other.
August 23 was my 30th anniversary of my 1st day of my high school freshman year in Georgia. High school is a whole lot different from middle school. I was in 2 special education classes and 4 regular education classes. I rode the bus on weekday "mornings and afternoons". I wish I could really travel to my high school era, but I still have my 2 yearbooks. I should be present in every moment and look forward to the future because traveling to the past is impossible.

Such a loving family, everyone seems so well adjusted! Id love to know if the kids are disciplined? Also, I knew when Jarrod said " Party time!" he was definitely kidding. Because after dropping the kids off he gave the sad puffer lip ( whatever that means, lol). Which means he was sad of course, lol.
That is actually so sad. I remember when you would drop of the older kids to their first day of high school saying “remember who you are. God loves you” and now the middles are in high school, all of them.

Aubrey, don’t worry too much about orchestra. I was in orch since sixth grade until senior year and I switched instruments twice! Violin to cello to bass. The fittings and games are always fun.

I was hoping to hear all about Anavaeh's day. I remember you recording her last year and she did a play by play of her entire day of school. She was adorable. And her enthusiasm was contagious. Looks like everyone had a Great first day of school. I do believe in if they started the school year, they need to go at least until Christmas Break to go back to home schooling. If that is what Aubrey chooses to do. You can't get a good sense of High school until you give it time.
