I just graduated with my business degree in DEC 2020 and you’ve convinced me to go back and get my masters in teaching like I’ve always wanted

I have 3 semesters left till I graduate with my BA in Elementary/ESOL/ESE/READING! But I start substitute teaching this month. Love watching your videos to remind myself why I’m pushing through these classes. ❤️

We have the same bus driver shortage issue. It's crazy. My school starts at 8:05 but I have kids getting up at 5:30 to make it to the bus stop for pick up. It's only week one, I can only imagine how this is going to affect them when we're several weeks in. And I thought you looked great for the first day! I love dresses so it's a total vibe for me!

You make me feel like I’m in the right field. I am currently student teaching and I have always been in it for the kids. I’m teaching kinder but I’m thinking of moving to 1st when I start. However, my mentor teacher isn’t that great. I’m actually kind of bummed by what I’m seeing. In my experience the kids aren’t coming first and it’s all so stressful. This was my first full week with the kids and I’m hoping it gets better. Right now it’s a lot of training and telling them rules and what not. It’s a lot and I’m so nervous to take over as I feel lost with lesson planning! Do you have any advice?

I’m keeping up with your amazing work 🥰 But I wonder… Do your students carry out all their subjects in your classroom ? Or Do they come in just for English and Maths? In our school, every grade has one fixed class accustomed for them. We can have more classrooms per grade if the number of students is high. They take all the subjects inside except for science, PE, IT and art. There is no Ms. whosoever class 😂 All teachers have their own offices and they commute to classes once it’s their period. That’s why I’m not motivated about decorating the classes where I teach because we have more than one, and the school will get rid of all the materials by the end of the academic year. I remember spending so much time decorating my class last year and investing on it to come this year and find nothing 😭
