It’s so interesting seeing how different schools work bc where I live in Canada, we go to a small school (like max 200 people), and it goes from kindergarten to grade 12, all in one building. We also have split classes, which mean 2 grades go together. It’s K, G1/2, G3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, and 11/12. Basically one year you learn one of the two grades and the next you learn the other one. So for example, my grade will always be learning the grade I’m in, so this year I’m in grade 11 so we’ll be learning grade 11 courses and so will the grade 12’s. Except for like ELA, Math, and Distance. Those you will do with your specific grade. But if you were in grade 7, you could be learning all grade 7 courses, or all grade 8 courses, minus math bc math is just whatever grade your in. Anyways what I was trying to say, is we all get out at the same time, and usually there are three different busses that will bring you to and from school, but that’s bc we live in a prairie town, so most kids live on farms. And the people who live in town, just walk home, or get rides in the winter.

High school years go by so fast! I still remember my very first day and that was 9 YEARS AGO It’s been 5 years since I graduated but it still feels like it was last month. If you’re reading this and you’re still in high school, just remember this, any bad day at school won’t even compare to the bad days you’ll have in the real world so enjoy that small inconvenience while you can. I wish someone had told me this long before I graduated bc at least I would’ve been a little prepared.
