First Days of School 

I hope ABA will be good for Griffin. I teach at a special public school and I have two students with Angelmans. They are both amazing like Griffin. Our school is a good fit for them and has so many great programs in place to help them grow. I am so grateful we have our school for our students. You do so well in advocating for kids, keep up the good fight.

Wow I’m blown away by Lindy’s speech. I haven’t watched in a while, and the last I saw I think she was still non verbal. All your kids are so precious, I love the way you always have them looking so cute. You and Will are just the best parents, you have a lot on your plate but seem to handle it with grace and positivity.

Griffin is a good boy

yeah for me I never really liked school because I was bullied a lot when I was younger then shunned when I got older (around grade 5 or 6) I liked learning and the subjects but hated recess and the more social aspects of it. I actually didnt really make good friends till HS when I was put in Special ed which tbh I probably should've been all along.

I work as a teacher at a small private school for kids with special needs and behaviors where most kids have a 1:1 aid and get ABA pullout for 2 hours a day, maybe this would be a good option for Griffin?

9:38 Yeah i guess they dont accommodate in the States as well as they do here in Canada where I live. I remember when I was in Kindergarten my school did the whole nap thing but because I was (like Lindy) one of those kids who won't sleep at night if I nap during the day what my mom asked and the school did was any kindergarteners who can't nap for whatever reason are actually taken to the "Computer room" and allowed to fool around on the school computers. This was all the way back in 2000 so I don't know if it's changed but I later learned that's what happened to me as when I was in HS my special ed class was talking about the nap times in Kindergarten and I said "i didnt have nap time but had computer time" and we were able to figure out this was because as a kid that can't have a afternoon nap or he won't sleep I was given the alternative activity.

I am starting 5th grade on the 5th of September
