I'm so happy I watched this I really wanted to change my hair color and now I think I'm gonna just use toner to lighten it then use a semi permanent color *side note* he's the realest for helping you dye your hair! Goals lol
Hey great video it helped me a lot. I have natural hair and I'm trying to dye it. I also just wanted to say I think you are so pretty and I just subbed!
This is awesome! I want to lighten my hair just a little to add a more noticeable purple color, but I just got my curl pattern in a good place after years of straightening and didn’t want to bleach. Heading to Sally’s now!
I usually just spray peroxide right out the bottle to lift my roots but im going to try the developer (which is just peroxide, only stronger). Thanks for the video!!!
it sounds like a perfect back to yt video to me! yes when I do stuff I decided instead of trying to make it perfect it will be real and if the pups..yes pups i got more lol...are there well you get to see part of an important section of my life. cant wait!
Your hair turned out so pretty! I’m trying to also lighten my already died black/brown hair to like a honey color a little lighter than yours! I’ve already stripped my hair twice with color oops but I don’t want to use bleach. Do you think this would lighten my hair using only 30 vol developer? I’m okay with doing multiple sessions. Also what did you use on your hair after lightening with developer? Was it a toner or hair dye? Your response would help me so much 🤍 thank u.
I did. I wanted to lift the color out of my hair and then i applied the color. just make sure you give your hair some serious deep conditioning love after any kind treatment :)
For golden blonde dyed hair I would not use this process. I had a period in early 2018 where I was golden honey then by April I went a little redder like a light strawberry blonde. This was after I had stopped doing youtube for a while. Eventually I couldn't keep up with it so I went back to red and auburn cus the color was closer to my natural color. So for your hair instead..to keep your curls intact I used Blonde Brillance and I used a 5 volume developer. The HIGHEST I would go is 10. Some people use a splash of 20 to speed up the process but personally I never did especially knowing I had previously dyed hair. I still have curls to this day that were lighter blonde and they are nice and curly two years later. But Be gentle with your hair you can put more in small increments to keep up with your roots if you need to go lighter and keep that deep conditioner on every week. I purchased everythign from sallys and I believe it was using Wella toner for the honey blonde as well as the reddish toner. But research and find the right toner or ask one of ladies at Sally's. Hope this helps!! ❤❤
