Yes, Dimash is beyond awesome. He lifts us into - IDK how to say it - into such deep appreciation, into Love, actually. We long forgot - as humanity - that we are not just these bodies. They are but the suit, the outfit we wear, or the current vehicle we drive. Who & What we are is Source-in-form. We ARE Divine Love, but it takes connecting with That to even begin to realize it. Dimash is a Divine gift to us all, touching us deeply to remind us of our deeper Reality - the one that so far trumps the 3D manifestation that it's ridiculous - largely due to the DS programming, the nonsense we've all taken on as "truth.," Ha! Not so. Dimash helps us reconnect with & re-member our dismembered selves, connecting once again to our deeper Reality. Oh well - words are inadequate for such tasks, but at least I tried. LOL. ~♥~

The instrument he played was the national Kazakh instrument dombra. He performs the song in his native language - Kazakh. At the same concert, he amazingly performed the song All By Myself. Dimash’s right in-ear wasn’t working in this. He never takes this one out. Right at the beginning he took it out and tapped on it to let the sound people know it wasn’t working. He tried it again and it still wasn’t working so he went on without it. He takes his left one in and out all the time. But never the right one. I wonder how much difference it was to sing without it. His fans sing along with him at all of his concerts to this song. It may not be the most exciting song he sings but it means so much to Dimash….the fans love it too.

You must watch the performance of "Daididau" from New York concert. He was emotional at the end of the song with audience participation. This is one of his favorite song which he performs in all his concert because of it's cultural and traditional importance.

This instrument is the Dombra. All the children are taught this in school.

Dimash is a very proud Kazakh and this song is so special to him because is a traditional song and he dreamt about singing it before a huge audience to show his culture and his country to the world. He was almost in tears. The instrumentation is beautiful, the dombra is the instrument he plays in the intro., every Kazakh has one in his home and Dimash’s grandfather is a master of dombra. The Dombra is a folk musical instrument widely used in Central Asia. It is made of wood and has a pear-shaped body with a long neck (only in Kazakhstan with frets) to which two gut strings are attached. The dombra can be rightly called the queen of Kazakh instruments since the XIX-th century. Dombra can be met in each yurta; it was referred to as one the most necessary and obligatory things in the life of Kazakhs. One of the greatest dombra players was the Kazakh folk musician and composer Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly, who had a great influence on the development of Kazakh music culture, his musical composition 'Adai' is popular in Kazakhstan and abroad. Although Kazakh musical instruments resemble those belonging to other tribes of the Central Asian ethnic group, they have their peculiarities dictated by national traditions. Today the dombra is a national symbol of the Kazakhs and Dimash said every Kasacian child learns this instrument. In many legends the heroes of successfully made use the ability to 'communicate without words: 'In spite of his father's prohibition the khan's son secretly went hunting. He met a herd of kulans and wounded the leader. Infuriated, Lame Kulan killed the youth with a stroke of the hoof. After waiting in vain for the return of his son from hunting, the khan declared that anyone who approached him with that estirtu (bad news) would be executed by pouring molten lead into the mouth. No one dared for a long time until an old dombrist (a person who plays the dombra) attempted. The sorrowful tune of the kyui was able to send this tragic message across to the khan. He ordered that the molten lead be poured into the dombra. That was how the opening in the upper sounding board of this musical instrument came about.

Daididau (die-dee-dow). From a poem written about a real life situation. Daididau is the gentleman's nickname for his wife. Two songs here. Adai is the instrumental played on the dombras. This was his first full scale concert in Kazakhstan. A dream fulfilled for him and, understandably, a very emotional concert for him as well.

It's unlikely that Dimash produces a concert of this scale anytime soon. So Dimash got super-popular in China in 2017. Also, Expo-2017 happened later, and a lot of chinese Dimash fans were going to Kazakhastan, so the government there gifted this concert to Dimash, as a way to thank him for improving foreign relations with China. I encourage you to watch the whole concert, it's more than a Dimash concert, it's an Expo event with a lot of visual art going on at all times.

Fallaro sus auriculares (creo q se llaman así) y además este tema es muy popular porque se trata de una historia real de la época de la revolución por la independencia. Se trata de un prisiónero injustamente preso que le escribe a su amada esposa. Hay partes donde desgarra el corazón la letra. Y Dimash trasmite esa emocion ese dolor, y su gente lo siente. Es muy amado por su bueba persona adas del talento maravilloso. Es generoso, hace ppco en el terremoto de Turquia hizo donaciones de su dinero para los damnificados. I was at our dear Dimash’s first solo American concert at the Barclay Center in New York in 2019. It was amazing, magical and so emotional! He is more impressive in person, and so humble! Can’t wait until he can come again!

Lo que está cantando es un hecho verídico que sucedió en Kazajistán... un poeta fue puesto en prisión por opinar del gobierno, allí en prisión le hicieron creer que su esposa ya se había vuelto a casar... él muy triste escribió esta letra de la canción, pensando que su amada esposa lo había olvidado... mientras que a su esposa le mintieron que él había muerto... por supuesto que ella jamás lo traicionó... luego él fue puesto en libertad y fue con su esposa, pero por poco tiempo lo volvieron a encarcelar y allí lo mataron... es una historia muy triste, es un hecho de la vida real que a Dimash lo emociona cada vez que tiene que cantarla.

Daididau is a poem written in prison by Maghzhan Zhumabayev, a true story. The poet had just been informed that his wife left him, and this song was his reply. He called his wife Daididau - it could be derived from 'дедім айдай ау' - the moon-like. But it was actually a false information, a way to torture him and others that were arrested for conspiracy. He saw her again but only for a short time. He was executed in 1938. This song is well known and very important for the kazakh people. The traditional coat is called Shapan.
