Taking you guys for the first youtube drive of the Bmw E34 540i as we rip it through some backroads. Absolutely love this thing, so enjoy watching me hype it up for 20 minutes lol
Congrats on 2k! You deserve it bro within the next 6 months I think you should definitely be hitting 10-20k you are a natural behind the camera and cover some awesome stuff. Keep it up and don’t give up! And thank you for the 20 minute video.
That's funny cuz my e36 LOVES the cold weather. My favorite time of year is those few weeks in early November into December when it's cold enough to snow but hasn't yet so there's no salt on the road. Soon at the salt hits the ground my girl hits the garage
100% a new subscriber love your content just found your video and has pushed me to look for one of these. Absolutely beautiful car brother!!! Good stuff!! We need more e34 content and you do the content justice! Be safe brother have a good one! 🙏🏼🔥🍻
@@m3nameisjosh464 have you though about making merchandise around your cars, sorry if I'm un educated if you already do LOL. It would be cool to see some more e34 540 merchandise out there, and would be a really good idea and a way to also keep it alive. I think that this is a car that needs to be revived just as a lot of the older BMWs. it's a shame they have been put to the side and non-car people have no idea about them. The older BMWs just hold something about them that a lot of other vehicles don't hold. I think it would be a really cool idea to have a couple of the content creators of the older BMWs produce more merchandise with the e34s. Anyways brother it's an honor to be a new subscriber and can't wait to see more content and see what's next for this car!
@@carsoncolemanbm6 I completely agree!! But i actually have an e34 merch design i just finished creating and will be available for purchase once the new year begins! Stay tuned!!!
@@m3nameisjosh464 awesome!!! Solid stuff! If u ever wanna market your merch some where lmk. I do marketing for BMW merch and content creators. Good stuff brother
The sound! I've been following your channel for a while now and you do a nice job, and I believe deserve more RU-vid success. here's a suggestion: take one of your builds to California and let the guys at TheSmokingTire make a "One take video" out of it. they'll plug your channel in the intro and you'll instantly get thousands of new subs. Take the E12,since they've already featured a number of E34s and I doubt they are interested to do another. Good luck!
Really want a E34 540i. But they are GONE... and I mean GONE. Last time I drove/saw one on the road? 2004. No joke. Even E34 525s in decent shape are a rare sight. Great video - and enjoyed the genuine enthusiasm. The sound is intoxicating. Drove one of the 1st V-8 E90 M3s in the US in early 2008 and fell in love with it. Still one of my all time favorite cars. That car weighs dead-on what the E34 540i weighs... and has THE same torque as the 540i. How cool is that?!
When the temps gets to the mid 30s in central Florida at 6am, my e34 goes nuts. The gauges do a sweep but it stays at 7k when it’s idling lmao. Its been a Miami car it’s whole life so it’s not used to these temps lol
Always good contect, just a question, got a 525 touring with a vibration at 60-70mph. What would you say it could be, thinking if it might be a common problem.
I just recently got one with 74k miles on it, interior and exterior are practically mint. I ended up getting it from an old couple who didnt use or need it anymore. Basically a barn find. Only thing the car would need is a little tune up. New spark plugs etc. I couldnt go any lower than 9k with them (the elderly couple)
HI Search up J-pipe I did one with my brother on my 320i e36 and it did delete all drone / bass on cabine and got still same sounds etc we did it with littlebit smaller pipe than my exhaust and about 60cm with 2 corners and its perfect.
Only on idle its littlebit different dont know how explain it but it was like 100% - - - - - - - - just same and now it slows flow down so its littlebit - - - -. - - - -. - - - - but it doesnt bother me bc it really isnt like anything 🙂
How is the 5 speed with a b40 motor. I’m looking into 310 or 320 swapping my b40. Found a companies in Australia that makes adapter plates to retrofit the trans. I feel like a 5 speed suits the cars power band better. What’s your opinion?
@@m3nameisjosh464 I thought about that, but they’re extremely hard to come by with the v8 bell housing. And yeah! That’s why I’m wanting the 5 speed make a fun daily.
I really like this car and want to get one. your video encourages me even more! I know you have an e34 turbo however you say that the torque and power of the 4.0 v8 seems incredible (without being very fast though), do you feel a good shove in your back when accelerating?
Have you thought about trying to get the 540 manual transmission, maybe the engine is to much for the 530 manual transmission, didn*t your friend where you got the parts from have a 540?.
My MSport (Check my channel, I have a couple exhaust vids) was/is so clean I was always afraid to delete the muffler after having it for 2 years. Once I did it..Best thing I ever did for it. And yes, that burble ;) Mine's not tuned, either. It still burbles a little
I have not seen you driven the E34 M5. Maybe your opinion will change and the M5 turns out to be more enjoyable to drive than 540i but then again you got the E36 and E46 M3 for that type of driving and the M5 might not add anything to them except 2 more doors.
540 was not meant to replace M5. It is not same concept. 540 is luxury sedan, silky smooth engine. M5 is sport sedan, much more crisper suspension, much better brakes, much more responsive engine, same torque (don't let people tell you otherwise, the factory dyno graphs are easily available on the internet). M5 3.8 was not delivered in the USA because of emissions regulations, which it met for the rest of the world, but not USA. 3.8 is the true form of the M5 - much more refined engine than the 3.6, more torque down low, much more hp, latest 6 speed models got insane brakes that BMW felt were so good, they didn't even change their dimensions for the heavier E39 M5 that had 60 more hp! Imagine that. Anyway, 540 can be made into a beast with some simple tunes - headers, cams would make it 300+ easy. By the way, fixing your exhaust leak will make you miss your burble throaty sounds, so be prepared to splurge for some aftermarket exhaust right after you weld your current exhaust, because it will be very quiet.
Lmao 😂 love when a 3 series kid come here throw hates lol , he didn’t even compare with newer bmw , go hate on Benz instead of sh** on other peoples work bro they are 25 yr apart , chill the hate man Keep in mind , for 25yr they barely 2secs different just show how good 90s bmw was
@@k-dawg58 I'm not doing anything remotely close to hating, I've been following josh for a while, talked and helped him a few times in private message btw. Just pointing out the things that aren't true, and if that offends you, that's your problem. Also, "barely 2s" is a metric fuck ton for a 0-60... That's gapplebees level.
@@imnota again 25yr apart You talking a late 2010-early 2020s car vs a mid 90s car …. Bro I don’t get why to compare the 2 ? He didn’t even brough up on the video like ….
