Brilliant cars, i had a v6cdx from 96 to 2005, sounded great with a scorpion exhaust. Mega reliable too, only problem i had in 221,000 ess the alternator. Routine maintenance was very easy too

It's so quick it starts at 10mph from stationary. 3:15 minutes in.

Always found it strange that the Expression model was trimmed so nicely yet they only gave it a poverty spec instrument panel. Even the L model had a rev counter 🤣. MK3's are fantastic cars and ive had a few including SRi's. Awesome era for Vauxhall that also gave the Calibra, Carlton GSi and Senator 24v which is what i own now. (Vauxhall anorak coming off now🤣)

Hi Ben, just watched your video and the first thing made me spit my beer out!! DONT SELL DENO THAT WOULD BE A HANGING OFFENSE any way as for the cav why not set up a raffle might bring in some much needed funds, as for the car it self they were not really accepted in the car world and the v6 was never a great power unit but having said all that I know this car brings back special memories for you which I understand but as I said how about a raffle👍👍 Ben this content is once again first class keep on doing what you do👍👍hope the recovery start coming in fast and furiously.

Great memories from the past. My dad had a hatchback same colour but the SRI model. Best design vauxhall ever done was the pull switch for the interior light still blows people's minds not knowing about it. Hey just to let you know on a great product mate. They do 2000 grit and 3000 grit soft pads for your D.A sander. They are great for flatting off vehicles and so quick. Takes like 30 min to do a whole sprinter van. Bit of G10 and wax and it brings back any bad paint work. Great video bud ❤

As i said before, what a crackin car. I had a 2.0 GLi auto 8v back in the day that went like stink. I often took that Mareham lane chicane flat out at nearly a ton (you know that chicane 😉 its a driver's dream when flat to the floor 😁) Aways wanted a V6 Cav though. Ben, id snapp your hand off at 6k for your Cav if i had it. To the right buyer (that knows what these cars are,...fettled or not) you're sittin on a tidy bob or two. Why dont you organise an auction? Winner takes it ?

A great watch as always Ben you’ve done a brilliant job on that Cav! Love the Mk3 had one myself an early hatch on an F Plate with 180 thousand miles on it mechanically was still pretty sweet but tinworm got it in the same places as yours

Hi Ben. I completely share your cavalier memories. My dad had 1 of the first mk 3's on an F reg. Mexico red. Brand new. I remember the 6 speaker phillips radio cassette with phillips radio code stickers on the door glass and windscreen. Just little details that take you back. Cavs are like an old pair of slippers you haven't worn for years! I've had over 60 mk2 and 3 cavs myself and currently have a 1.7 td. It's like memory lane ranging from 13 years old through to mid 20's. All seasons in 1 day! Best car ever made in my opinion. Great video mate.

Takes me back to my childhood too, interior brings back the Astra and Cavalier we had. I do seem to remember the seats had a purple tint to them, so over time, makes sense to me they faded/sun damaged to the colour. It does look good though, and sounds sweet, it is a shame you can't keep it, but like you suggested when you first showed us it, it was a project, it needed to be saved, and you've achieved that, sometimes it just wasn't meant to be and it survives for someone to enjoy, coz sure as hell it would've still been rotting on that driveway, and would've ended up beyond repair. Not seen you buzzed that much, speaks volumes.

Not really mate, the rules are quite strict on that kinda thing. I worked very hard to pay for that and at times I debate selling but if I did I'd never fly again, I can't afford to rent planes, having your own is a lot cheaper

Love the cavalier and it's colour Not being a troll is it not 47th on shell and not the engine unless they changed clocks as well when they swapped engine That's why I want auto v6 in my diplomat cavalier saloon just cause of the drive of the v6 and noise of it Your cavalier looks stunning 😍 in the sun

Apparently the DVLA record it as being a 1.8 which were straight 4 engines.

Yeah I do get that mate, the shell is 47k, but I have it on good authority the V6 came from a low mileage Calibra on less than 60k

@SleafordRecovery not being a troll just know how vain folk can be over low mileage cars with engine swaps .....you can hear its good engine when it's running amd no oil leeks like normal lol
