Julia driving the new 2017 Entegra Cornerstone, this is the first time she has ever driven anything bigger than a car! Check out our website at: www.great-escape.us
GOOD job Julia for you first time out.. My wife took a RV course at Monaco last august and that's the last time she been behind the wheel... Maybe, I'll show her this video to give her a hint.. LOL..
The first video I saw of you guys was the one with the snow on the awnings. The second video was this one where Julie's driving the new rig in the rain. I'll be praying for better weather for you. But, seriously, Julie you did a great job of handling your new toy!!!
She tries to play it down, she did really well and it was a terrible day, misty, rainy just horrible. She is fairly fearless when it come to getting behind the wheel, so shortly after this she drove my Anthem. After 3 mins she pulled over and said "I can't drive this it feels dangerous" So she refuses to drive the Anthem until the steering issue is fixed (if and when that actually happens)
You did a great job with that behemoth. I have to tell you that I was nervous watching you because I would be a nervous wreck trying to drive such a huge vehicle. So, yeah, you were fantastic!! You rock!
I think that is more for if * when you have a blow out as it prevents the steering for turning right or left and makes it easier to stop in a straight line
I think she adjusted the steering n the position she liked, This for me looks uncomfortable as well, but you know how it is, you can't argue with your wife !!!
Nice to hear that your driving again, still can't see your videos though. I don't have any problems with all the other videos that are uploaded from other channels. Have you got your website address again please.
+Great Escape +Great Escape thanks for that Glenn. Works fine on your website. Julia handled it like a pro. She appeared to be very calm, like there was no other women drivers on the road. Lol. Hopefully your road trip will just get better and better, your now ready for Santa to leave you a surprise Cornerstone in your stocking this Xmas. Happy travels guys.
+Rich T. I mean't to mention earlier regarding an ease of driving tip. When your sat in a comfortable driving position, whilst driving down a road, in the centre of your lane, get the passenger to place a marker (a small sticky label or a mark at the bottom of your windscreen). This should be at the same position of the road that you prefer, for instance the lane marker. This will enable you peace of mind in the knowledge that your rig is driving in the middle of the lane, no matter what size. I personally just look through the the mirrors however, it wouldn't do for us all to be the same, would it? By the way Julia, it's very brave and your setting such a good example to all the other unsure female drivers, go girl and good on ya!
That's a good tip that I'll pass on to her, unfortunately the steering still isn't right so she had a go today but pulled over and said it's impossible to drive with such play in the steering!
Ok this coach has some serious power (600hp and 19xx lbs torque if memory serves me correct), how do you compare that to other units you've owned or driven?
Well, it clearly has more power but it is pushing a load more weight and to be honest I didn't think it is worth the extra $$$ to achieve what exactly. ? 7.5 MPG and you won't get there any quicker than I will. It's a nice drive and if money was no object I would by a Prevost with a 600HP engine.
I do subscribe to your channel and like your vids, but, I wish you could raise the volume when you're speaking and lower the added background music volume ( it is sometimes very loud ). Even with a sound booster it's sometimes difficult to hear you speak. I think you say some absolutely funny things and I do so hate it when I've missed something. Thanks and travel safe!
+Bob Cannon Hi Bob, I donlt overlay music when we are talking, also sometime I mute the talking as it's not relevant so all you will hear is the music.
I think he means we end up turning the sound up to hear you talk, then all of a sudden when the music comes in it's twice as loud and you quickly have to turn it down So you're forever moving the volume up and down. There is lots of video editing software out there that will equalize the volumes.
No, No... she drives at 20 mph you'll never get there..... But in time you do it again and work up to 65,... What I find that works nice to see if your in your lane... Look in a mirror, the side of the RV on the right and look for the white line and where your bus is to that or the yellow line... Sorta have to look back to know where the placement of the RV is in the lane..Cuz you cant see it looking out that big window.. Any one can drive if you some basic tips, it how truck drives do it.
Nothing more sexy than a woman driving a 44 foot expensive coach. Lol. Hmm assume you had the appropriate licence class for driving that gorgeous coach. Ah who cares. It is simply awesome.
A Conneely hmm interesting. So a car licence is fine for this large coaches. Here in New Zealand anything over 6 ton. (13440lb or 6000kg) up to a max of 18 ton GWL has to have a class 2 licence not just a normal car one. After 18 ton a different licence class is required. www.nzta.govt.nz/driver-licences/getting-a-licence/licences-by-vehicle-type/what-you-can-drive/
Steve Currington You can walk in and buy a multi million dollar coach and drive away with just a car licence. As you would expect accidents are quite common as owners get a feel for the size of their vehicle .
This is the first one of these videos I've ever looked at the sound is horrible! The noise in the background is monotonous you can't learn something from a video if you can understand what's being done. This one you might as well just scraps to begin with
