First Drive Review: Is the 2012 Toyota Prius V ready to haul you & all your stuff? 

Not much of a review. It is unfortunately apparent you are not fans of hybrids. I own a Prius V and it truly is a wonderful car. Incredibly reliable, great value. Fun to drive - just put it into power mode and you will fly on to those on ramps and leave everyone else in the dust! Lol! Great cargo space, excellent room for front and rear passengers. I think I will keep mine until they come out with a Prius V plug in! Absolutely LOVE this car, and that is from someone who sold a Honda Ridgeline for this! :-)

Why is the sound goes in and out

@MrLarryHorse I suppose you can recycle the batteries, and at 42 MPG for the life of the car...you can also donate the money you didn't spend on fuel to a good cause or to your bank account.

Looks super comfortable and that HUGE sunroof is pretty sick! but the Prius still dont convince me...Great review

Wonder if they will make a Prius V+ that will be a little longer with a 3rd row seat? I was at a Toyota dealer about a year ago and one woman wanted the Prius V so bad but it didn't have a 3rd row so she walked out.

@92CamryLE actually thats not what i'm talking about, the chemicals used are extremely toxic to the enviroment and being that batteries can be recycled doesnt mean that batteries can stop being produced

one with nature haha! people dont realize how much polution goes into making the hybrid batteries. In fact over the life of the two vehicles a hummer is more enviromentally friendly, because the the plant that makes the battery prodices so much polution

@tmanutd82 I know mate, no matter how hard the Japanese try, they will never match German technology. 64 mpg in a golf, nice. Just a quick question, are you talking a U.S. gallon or imperial gallons, because in the U.S. one gallon is 3.8 liters, and not 4.54 like in the U.K.

42 mpg combined? How about 64 mpg in a Golf Bluemotion with real leather and not a cheap plastic interior... I know where my money would go.

Actually, the prices are out and it's less than the standard Prius for the base model, which is still well equipped. I'm not sure why the Prius gets such a thrashing from the lunatic fringe. The Hummer is more environmentally friendly. Really? Really? Give me a break. Wait until gas hits $8 a gallon and then we'll talk about value.
