We got the first eBay mods for the EK civic and boy were they an eBay special... 😂 but $205 for 4 lights (head lights and tail lights for the civic) is really a bargain no matter how good they fit!

Now that you have a second set of headlights, you should do the old "stick em in the oven" trick on the old set and paint the housings black 🖤

There is a difference between the EM1 and your hatchback. The 1996-1998 years had that front end but the 1999-2000 years had a different front end.

In my opinion the pre front end (96-98) with a lip and the type r grill with no logo looks way better than the facelift one. I owned a 97 hatch and you wont regret staying with the pre front end.

when i bought ebay head lights for my 97 civic coupe they leaked and fogged up first time driving in rain, if i were you id do a bead of silicone all the way around the seams on heads and tails

When painting your new tails make sure you use adhesion promoter so that the paint sticks permanently to plastic.

I have a em1 grill in my ek hatch looks fucking sick, it changes the look, but at the same time i do like the 96-98 front end, i’d say i like them both ❤️

The bumper on the EM1 looks different and alot of people prefer them bc they can look clean. I've had both of them and honestly they both look good.

Take your old headlights and bake it and open it up and black it out.

Instead of putting those garbage ebay headlights, just paint the housing black, it's easy to take apart. Put some spoon style mirrors(stock ones look like elephant ears lmao), mugen lip or air walker bumper, type-r rear lip and you're set 😎

99-00 hatch tails are clear with no amber. That’s why the box was labeled that way.

You should really look into the 96-98 sir bumpers, I bought black housings for my 2000 coupe for $48 and I bought full smoked headlights for my 2000 hatch for $60

Imo if someone's gonna do an EM1 swap it'd look better to just do a full aftermarket swap instead of using stock parts that look pretty much the same, an EM1 kit on an EK might look pretty cool, assuming the rear is also compatible.

keep the headlights oem+ i have a civic too, different model but essientially same front end. I got it with aftermarket headlights and they dont look good at all, no matter what angle....

Do an HID retrofit on those headlights. It'll look badass and be way better at night. Also would make for a great video.

sad how you talked about the facelift without even like trying to appreciate the refinements. being a multi billion dollar company, i think honda decided to do the change so they could sell more. definitely recommend the headlight upgrade without those hideous orange reflectors

Paint the headlight housings yourself, very easy to do and it'll be a good video... the rear lights are the 99-00 style ones
