First female Blue Angels demonstration pilot has ties to Norfolk, Virginia 

Katie Higgins was the first demonstration pilot for the Blue Angel. She flew the the C-130. Amanda Lee is the First F-18 demonstration pilot.

she's the real deal. There is no diversity bs going on here. we saw her fly on Oct 7th SF fleet week. You have to see the blue angels to believe what they can do.

There's at least one comment about diversity or implications that she was selected 'because female' on every video about her that I've seen. Being a Blue Angel pilot has about a 10% fatality rate. How many people legitimately think an unqualified person is going to be selected for what is probably the deadliest job in the world? How many people think team members are going to volunteer to fly 700mph and 18" away from somebody that is less qualified just to check a DEI box? For a little bit of reference; the fatality rate in the logging industry is somewhere around 0.1%. A stint as a Blue Angel demo pilot is about a hundred times more lethal. Nobody gets selected for a position that's killed 10% of it's people 'because diversity.'
