First Female RU-vid Diver Recovers Stolen Truck From River Police Called For Our Help!
While on the continued search for Karen Adams, a missing 54-year-old woman from Independence Township, we were contacted by the Moundsville Police Department about a potential vehicle in the Ohio River.
They had alerted us to a vehicle that had been located by a local fisherman directly across from the Moundsville Riverfront boat ramp in West Virginia. The vehicle had been located at the same time a gentleman took his own life by jumping off the Moundsville Bridge, which took precedence over the vehicle.
The Moundsville Police Department contacted us to locate the vehicle and dive on it. Being only 45 minutes away, we set out to assist them that morning.
We were accompanied by an officer who explained the situation and directed us to the general area of the car. We were able to locate it, mark it, and Jacob and Lindsay of Chaos Divers dove the car, which turned out to be a dilapidated Chevy Beretta that appeared to be in the water for as long as it was old approximately 30-ish years.
While on the water, we continued to scan the area and located two additional targets. Lindsay, of Chaos Divers, and Britain, of Depths of History, dove on the first target, an overturned boat with the motor still attached. The second vehicle was a newer Ford F-150 that came back as a stolen vehicle.
Moundsville Police Department made all the arrangements for Bill’s Towing to assist in removing the truck the following day. Britain and Lindsay were able to connect the vehicle and remove it safely. Moundsville Fire Department assisted with cleaning out the vehicle to check for evidence and ease the struggle of the additional weight for Bill’s Towing.
After the removal of the truck, our search continued for Karen Adams.
