What I love about these planes its like being in T top car sit with you elbow outside. I can't believe no one has even made a kit version of these. Steering it is like a car so easy to fly.
My first experience in Ercoupe serial 036 out of Fort Worth Texas back in the early 2000s. At the time it was one of the last pre WW2 ercoupes flying. Very fun plane.
My dad had one when I was small enough to fit in a baby seat in the luggage area. I hope to get my license and get one in the next few years and take him up in it.
WOW mike you make it look easy. I'm next with a Ercoupe that why I appreciate this video when I buy my Ercoupe 415-c I have a little bit knowing its operation for a successful future flight experiences.
I'm very grateful for this video and would very much like to use it in some work I do with Certified Flight Instructors. Please feel free to contact me.... thanks for the post and your video.
How is the fit in the Ercoupe with two decent sized guys? I'm thinking about buying a small two seater that isn't tandem and Ercoupes look pretty good but I'm a decent sized dude. Not sure it would even fit two adults with me in there.
I remember 415Cs with my dad. I was ten or twelve. He thought he was teaching me how to fly. I'd hold that round wheel while he threw all those switches. I was supposed to understand. Then we'd go fly. At 2000 ft he'd let me me steer for awhile. When I gained or lost five feet he'd grab the wheel and force me to correct. At fifteen I told him I was done. Only flew with him two more times as an adult passenger. He just died today.
I bet that all your dad wanted was to fly together with you. To show how special it is and just to be together in that activity. I know this because I have the same issue with my son, but we are getting a second chance at it.
Rudder and aeron are coordinated together by turning the control column or wheel if you wish to call it that. So all you have is side to side or in and out for elevator attitude very simple nice design. Probably little boring to fly really.
This can’t be his first lesson as he already knows some of the instruments and knows about leaning to set up the mixture the ratio of fuel and the air intake.
@@BoringFlightVids lol...ikr? I remember the very first time my instructor showed me how to crab in on final. Scared the bejesus out of me. Thought we were going to crumple the landing gear.
