"Ain't she a beaut, Clark?"
It's a new feeling to have more manure than one pass. Good thing I didn't cover the camera in a few of those shots. The old 145 moved on at a consignment sale Saturday. Made 20 loads after this one and only broke the spring for the floor speed lever. Woodchip bedding. Almost got stuck once or twice because of the extra weight.

It's nice to see how a farm can use older equipment and still get the job done! Watching some of the other farming channels, it would seem that if you do not have the newest and best equipment, you can't work! @Boehm Farms, keep up the great work and as always, I'll be looking forward to watching your videos showing how REAL FARMS get it done!!!!

i see it the other way how to work profitable when buying a 100hp tractor for 100k€ when you are not using it at least 1000 hours a year`?

I’d say it depends on the farm and what they do exactly. As you see a lot of grain farmers buying new, but us dairy and beef farms buy old and new. As we have a lot more expenses so it’s a lot hard to always get the newest.

Agree 100% Older equipment is far more interesting content than new. Nothing wrong with turning wrenches as you learn skills. Grease under the nails never hurt anybody.

It is 100% worth it to install the upper beater, even if you have to assemble it from parts bought new at the dealer. Especially since you pile it very high with the Slurrysides. When mine broke last year, I only filled it to half capacity before it could be repaired again. Consider it essential to break up larger pieces that land on fields that you'll want to have hay equipment on next year.

Am I the only one who noticed. The chain was installed backwards. It needs to be turned around because it will cause it to ware and fail prematurely. I knew as soon as I saw the paddles moving in the wrong direction.

Enjoy your new spreader Sir. I concur with some other viewers that the feeder chain has been installed backwards/upside down. I highly recommend you address that issue before it fails on you which it will prematurely if left as is. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Regards from south Sweden.

The T-bar chain is the best around in the older spreaders. Other than it being in backwards it looks fairly new. I’m not sure what you paid but I just replaced the chain in my smaller New Holland and the chain alone was $650 I welded the paddles on the links myself. Overall I’d say great buy!!

Hello Boehm farming.. Why did'nt you put down the spreader wagon completly on to the manure-pile ?? I mean the back of the Wagon must parking on the knew from the pile The loader tractor must for any shovel 20 meter !!! a long way an time ! For a shovel tractor is it better to put a 500 Kilogramm weight on his 3point. hitch . -- there is it no matter by 2 or 4 wd tractor . Nice greetings from Bert from north west germany !

If you don't find the problem you will ruin the chain, as the sprockets wear down the space between the teeth at the bottom of the gullet gets to short to match the chain-link spacing. The sprockets will ruin your chain.
