What took me almost the whole game to figure out is that there is a custom picture frame you can place that will then let you pick the image inside from a bunch of choices. I was just about to complain about the lack of wall art when I figured it out.

As a home owner who has grown up with carpet in every place I’ve lived in as a kid, wood floors are so much nicer and easier to clean. I use rugs to decorate and keep it cozy.

Hey so i dont know if you noticed but at 12:10 when you check for things you still have to do, theres a color pallette on the right side of the screen. Thats what the client wants then colors combos to be. I hope this helps. Im binging your playthrough and when i noticed, it started bugging me that youd accidentally pick the opposite colors 😂

In Florida, most homes have tile or wood floors, especially in rentals. Sometimes, you'll find carpet in the bedrooms, but it's becoming less and less so it seems (at least where I'm from).

I want to point out in the bathroom of the Lavender House the tiles directly above the toilet, the white ones, are different than the others at the same level. They are smaller.

Colored walls are very neat in real life if done right, I'll agree there. My room has a teal accent wall and one of our bathrooms is a pastel green. But when I was a kid our living room was bright orange and that was disgusting. Generally speaking subtle colors work better.

HF always struck me as a "the more you spend the more you get" so ... more expensive things in the house maybe to sell for higher?

I like what you did to this house! But I would be really nice to see you knock down some walls or building new ones. Like on this house I would have made the bathroom bigger, knocking down the walls between the storage rooms and the bathroom. Also I would have made the kitchen and living room connected to a big joined room with the hallway. Go creative grill! ❤️ Also, I’ve seen that some of the cabinets in the kitchen has built in fridge. So look for that if you want a matching kitchen. We do have a lot of that in Sweden. I think the house didn’t go so high in price cause you didn’t change anything. Just cleaned and fix the last bits and pieces. Still loving this series! Gonna be fun to see how it all evolves!

14:04 I wonder if the devs didn't so much remove the before & after feature, but instead House Flipper 2 could be completely built from scratch and the devs weren't able to add the before & after feature in time for release because they felt other features were more important.

I think in the very beginning of the game the guy who calls you mentioned the driftwood house. I’m kind of hoping it ends up being a real place in the game that you can flip just because he makes it sound so awful. Lol. Anyway, I really like the way the lavender house turned out. The blue paint is so pretty. When I was a kid we owned our house and I got to choose the colors to repaint it after my parents’ divorce; it’s the only time I’ve lived in a place with colorful walls (including blue that was just a bit darker than the one you used in this house). Now that we’ve been renting again for many, many years, every place has the same white walls. I feel like that’s just one of the many downsides of renting, especially when you’re poor. Or maybe that’s just been my experience. 😅 I hope someone else who has the game can explain how to make more at the auction. I have no idea why it’s so cheap. I didn’t think you did things much differently at this house compared to the first one, unless fixing the broken pathways out front added that much to the value of the house. Very odd.

I like seeing the jobs because I have such a hard time figuring out what they are going for. Like those 6 cubes. They give a color pallet, but there doesn't seem to be any mechanism for registering if you pay attention to it. There is a little drawing, but so far I have not found that very helpful. Much better than the older game, Remember trying to figure out how they configured the cabinets. I go clockwise: sell, trash, clean, vac, demo, surface finishes, and buy last. When I did this house I got about 29K profit. Like you, I mostly just used what was there. I did repaint because I didn't like the color. I used the tile from the bathroom in the kitchen as well. Furnished about like you. I saw a woman who painted the outside and did a lot of renovations and she got about 20K. No idea if say putting a rug in the living room would help? I think the toilet may have needed to be replaced. It looked a bit rough.

some of the cabinets are functional cabinets, like the stove one which is obvious, but others are "hidden" in that they have a dishwasher or even a fridge cabinet ;)

G-masta, try adding rugs, plants, art, and other miscellaneous items throughout the house, focus on curb appeal, and some outdoor furniture/ activities Keep the great content up

Maybe sell the bushes? Maybe there is some dirt left? Btw, did you know doors should open certain ways for safety? Front door goes inside because if there's an emergency cops etc will most likely enter through the front door and they can bust in more easily. Bedrooms/bathroom same. Back doors open to the outside: emergency route if there's a fire, you can easily get out.

I think of you add a small table and chairs opposite the cabinets and do a little more decor it will go for more, and also, almost every home ive lived in (in new england) has either all hardwood throughout or linoleum in just bathrooms and kitchen and laundry room. Area rugs are a must in certain rooms though or it gets too echo-y

A lot of people really enjoy the ability to do custom pictures, but you could also do that in the last game, just not in frames. Also, remember that the before and after was only introduced in the HGTV DLC, while I wished they would have made it a base game option it is something they have plenty of time to add. As a RU-vidr it also makes thumbnails so much easier to make 😉 I enjoy watching what you come up with, keep up the awesome work!

I wonder if adding beds in the bedrooms might help?

When I was a kid my bedroom was the only room that had hardwood floors. They really suck as kid when you wanna sit on the floor and play

In the bottom right of the shop screen you have filters. There you are able to filter by room type or vendor 😸

In Finland we use wood in our floors, because it is easier to clean and it do not give allergic reactions as full carpets do.

getting rid of the plants outside might help, replace them with something better looking. I don't know why it's such a lowball offer though over what the cost of it all it... weird. When I sold my version I got way more than that...but then, I changed the bathroom out almost entirely, got rid of that tank thing whatever it is...went for a less brown looking tile set for that room as well. Might also want to put a kitchen table in somewhere somehow with the kitchen.

12:35 pretty much stopped using carpet since the late 2000's, 2010 up its hardwood everywhere pretty much Which sucks cause i actually prefer carpet so i don't have to wear socks 24/7.... but ya the only time you're really going to see carpets now is in cheap old apartments

Here in Spain we never have carpet for floors, the most common is to have stone and then wood floors

i dont think we even have white walls in my house. we have hunter green,blue, bright blue, brown/tan, blue grey, wood paneling, we had a red bathroom, but now it's creamy yellow, then there's lime green and the one place that kinda is white isn't paint it's the plaster that we havent gotten to paint yet. i think only one room has wall paper but that came with the house...

hello :) i'm from Belgium ( a little lost country in Europe :D) and in fact, there are a lof of houses with wood on the floor. I guess ( just an hypothesis) that's because we have a lot of old houses and they were "bourgeois" ( aristocracy) houses. they are used to put wood ( good and expensive wood) on floor. that's may be why they are more here ? Last home you used a lot of renovation,lighting,carpet and stuff.Since It's a lavender home it needs some greenery or flowers.

We have mostly. Granite, marble, tiles... Concrete surface with smooth polish. because it's stronger. Once built you have a house for at least 50 years. You can renovate as much as u want like 5 to 10 years

For the shelfs on the wall you wanted to flip over the one you could not. Would moving the others up and adding another to the bottom of the those already placed not give same result?

My parents bought a duplex and converted it into one house. Their first floor is all wood and the second except for bathrooms is carpet.

The driftwood house is basically the storyline of the game. He did talk to you about it at the beginning of the game. It has nothing to do with the demo.

You shouldn't sell paint and floor tiling until the end as it may be required in other rooms.

you wanted big bucks for little to no work, you are used to the first game where you could buy more expensive houses and sell them for more money but you alsopot more work into them, you could have put more into this house but you didnt. art plants radiators and you did buy it cheap so you are not gonna make 200 k on your first flip without putting atleast 100 k into it just my opinion. you cheaped out and thought you would make big bucks lol its a cute house but not big money cute
