Where is tithing taught in the New Testament? There is no scripture whatsoever in the New Testament asking Christians to tithe. When Jesus once referred to the practice, he was talking about Pharisees who were still under the Law of Moses and not about New Testament believers.

It is because of this impression I have of you that I offer this...which is meant in love, not spite or hatred. 16:38 The moment you said "It could be 'he' or 'she'" you got me really concerned. If you are saying that a woman can pastor a church, that goes against scripture. This then would mean that you are spouting extra-biblical, and therefore man-made, traditions. This is a heresy that has infiltrated the modern, progressive church, but it is not Yah's way. Don't let your (natural?) non-assertive demeanor be used against you and your church. Repent and turn back to His way. I pray this falls on "ears to hear." If this is not what you meant at that moment, then I apologize for the misunderstanding. First fruits in not 2.5% But 100% There are two types of first fruits 1) First Fruit Sacrifice: The kind that Father Abraham did when he gave Isaac as sacrifice Which is 100% of the first salary on a new job(sacrifice) Or 100% first salary or pay in a new year 2) First Fruit of increase: the kind in Proverbs 3 Which is the difference between an increment in pay or salary with the last received salary For example: if you usually earn $10,000 as salary in a month And then you got a raise to $12,000. You are to Honor The Lord with your first fruits of increase Which is the difference between $10K and $12K Which is 2K dollars Then still pay tithe on the $10K

First and tithies are different things, read Malachi 3:10 it speak about us we have robe God his tithies... Let say you got a new job and you no longer working in your previous job plus in this new job you got an increase...that increase us the first fruit you will give to God. What matters also be spirit led, and discern not to miss out on the Holy Spirit leading.
It can, remember we don't live in the old Covenant we live in the new Covenant....so your first increase you get form your income is your first fruit.... You give God your increase.... Business people might understand this....the first profit of your business you give it to God plus first fruit and tithes are not the same thing...
What is being left out in this study is tat First Fruits were connected to feast days and were different from tithing. Also, tithe was to be taken the place where God chose. Once there, it was sanctified then RETURNED TO THE TITHER for he and his family, his servants and the stranger within his gates to partake of. Every 3rd year it was given to the Levitical priesthood for servicing the temple, as they had no further inheritance. If the this was too burdensome to carry to the place where God chose, the tither was to sell what had been set aside for money, bind the money up in his hand, go to the chosen place, purchase with the I the money whatever his heart desired--even strong drink, for he and hi family, his servants and the strangers within his gates to partake of. The case for present day tithing is often taught using bits and pieces from old covenant, and applying it loosely with new covenant , without the whole teaching. When the entire study is presented, it is a stretch to line up with current teachings and practice. .
