So so beautiful !! Wow you guys did a great job! I found a 1965 Waggy that is all there complete and no rust! It has sun damaged paint and it hasn’t been registered since 1991. It has the complete tornado motor that turns over. 3 on the tree. We’ll be in touch!
I've always loved those old Jeeps. I never had funds to purchase one though and now they are getting prohibitively expensive. One day though I plan to own one. Either a Wagoneer or a pickup. Either one in my book is a winner
Very cool video sir, I always like wagoner, I just purchased a 1965 model and you just explained to me a lot of things that I didn't understand like the steering system ,thanks a lot and keep up the good work
I had been looking for a Wagoneer for years and was lucky enough to finally find one just about a week after you posted this. It has been a lot of fun the last few months but the longer I have it the more questionable things I find that past owners have done to it. My mission now is to fix all these things correctly. As rare as these are and as much as people love them I think its the right thing to do. I rarely take it out and not have somebody want to talk about it.
LOL, "You can FEEL Its about ALL it wants to go". THAT is a true characteristic of ALL Wagoneer and most J-trucks. I Drove 375 Miles from Idaho to my town in a J10 At 55MPH in the right lane, semi trucks passing me, Fact 100% of them passed Me! 55 & just Drive it, PERIOD!
Didn't some first generation (1963 model) come with a different, independent front suspension set up? This one looks fantastic, great job overcoming the parts issues! You need to do an early Commando next!
Great Video Drew. It's kind of scaring me for our rebuild. It is a moving piece of art well done! I love how you explained all the differences between late version Wagoneers, and the originals. Who would have known...... I agree you should have like a million views!
My grandfather had a first gen and I remember bouncing around on the Montana dirt roads in it to go fishing or hunting. Wished that I bought it since it was 100 percent all original.
Dad bought a 1966 (really a 1965) Gladiator pickup new 2350.00 OTD! Except for the pickup bed it was the exact same vehicle. You are so right about the Tornado engine (manufactured by Continental I believe) lots of torque but it did not like high RPM’s so 60 was a perfect speed. It also didn’t like to stop with the stock brakes so 55 was even better. I live in AZ now and I’d love to get by and see your shop, great vid! Your channel just popped up on my suggestion list and now you have a new subscriber.
Great job! I found a 1964 Wagoneer in great shape and very complete that I'm now restoring. Only thing missing is one bumper, any tip on where to find those 3 pieces bumpers?
Thanks for the post been a long time and that is a great gen one! I have a 90 and its amazing to see how similar it is but actually see the real differences!
Great video! When I look at the front clip of these Jeeps, and can't help but wonder if Kaiser originally designed it with the intention of using quad headlights. Do you have any thoughts on that?
