I've mentioned before there was a record amount of snow that fell last winter. Which pretty much meant snow was still on the ground well into August. That isn't really a huge deal given the level of backpacking I do...but I also didn't want to do with sketchy creek crossings. One of my favorite meadows to visit was finally snow free. It also makes for a great warmup trip since it's a short flat hike. But the real kicker is there are a ton of golden trout up there!
