Thank you for this video. I am researching to write these type of books. Right now I have picture books but my grandkids are nearly ready for the next levels. My kids also read Frog and Toad Are Friends. Anyway. Good job, mom.
We love Little Bear because we like the storyline. I find that a lot of other readers the storylines are kind of lame. This one is also funny as well which my daughter likes. Basically one day I read the odd Pages issues even pages and then we switch the next day and we read one "chapter" usually about 3 days and then we move to the next.
The National Geographic readers look great and they come in a ton of topics! Going to get the first Fly Guy book to see if my son likes them. Totally agree on mixing classics/educational with fun reads to encourage a love of reading. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for such a great video- I’m going to try the magic school bus scholastic readers on different topics. Also would recommend Usborne beginners and young beginners for nonfiction readers- my daughter really enjoys those.
We do love those, and my son JUST started trying to read the early chapter ones himself. Typically I read them (we love to include them in our unit studies).
Have you seen Billy and the Mini Monsters series? My oldest loved those at that level. I don’t know if you can get them on Amazon. I got them from Usborne. They are really cute books.
