My 1500 HP Shelby GT500 was the same way! When my car ran at the Texas mile we lost traction all the way through 140 MPH and still ran 227 MPH. Definitely changed up the drivability and turned the HP down for the streets. You wouldn’t believe how much faster you can be just by gaining traction over HP.
When stepping up to a big money standalone engine management solution like Motec. The game moves to another level. It was great listening to Jay to a rundown on what it offers especially as far as power management goes.
I'm trying to get a build like this. I fixed up a 2008 GT500, but that won't really do this kind of horsepower so I'm looking for a 2014 GT500 as my base and I'll get started on some of the modifications that I've seen from this channel! I need to find a machinist to help me achieve this goal though by porting the heads/lower intake. Thanks once again for making these videos as I get to see what goes on with the different little bits and pieces that all go together to make a car like this work.
The right build can do this with a 5.4. The world record standing mile ford GT made north of 3,000 hp after John Mihovetz prepared the factory block and heads to achieve that feat. Al Papitto used to build these as well.
I agree with Randy V. My favorite hands down. I WOULD LOVE TO WATCH THIS SMASH STREETSPEED. That would be the best thing to see. There is no better car on this platform, youtube, considering what it is, meaning, perfect in all the ways. Street, strip, cruise etc..
HEELLLLL YEAH!!! NOW ITS TIME TO BEAT SOME ASS!!LOL😂😂🤣👌👌👍🤘🤙🤜🤛 get out there and line up some races . Cant wait to see what that bad boy takes down ❤❤❤❤❤
@@floki1664 its not all about speed my friend. Sure theres a ton of ways to go fast. As a mustang enthusiast, this particular car is just so awesome. That's my opinion though.
Incredible…. Always been one of my favorite cars/ years of Mustang ….. technology today…. It’s a good time to enjoy fast cars… short of the EPA. Your car is cool AF. Enjoy it . I’ll joy watching your follow-up videos
Dude on that one pull, I've never seen your eyes that big, when you said that was your fastest 60-130. You definitely need to set up a run with streetspeed.
Wow it looks like you have your El Choppo able to be street race ready with some personal tweeks and not spin @ 130 mph, this is a awesome setup and make it fun to drive again.
It's so crazy to see this car with such good drivability and actually hookin and bookin! Definitely way safer which is very important too. Happy to see you really enjoying this car. It's been quite the journey and awesome to see👍
I absolutely LOVE the 15" wheels on the back. I would love to be able to get 15" wheels front and rear for a Mustang, with BF Goodrich RWL Radial T/As on them. That would be one beautiful car. The huge GHETTO REEHUUM/no tire thing just doesn't cut it.
Lmao still remember when you first got it after selling the 03 cobra and saying you didnt want to do much to it cause E85 was a hassle to get lmao look where we're at now
So your telling me he basically figured out how to make this car act like a turbo car with a boost controller? So you can have a 600 setting, a 800, 1000, 1200, then a 1350 setting? That’s wild.
You should do a custom side exit exhaust on that snake or find a Borla, Corsa magmaflow side exit exhaust that would be nice and make it more efficient to receive more power and acceleration and help get all burnt fumes out quicker.
Great build. I would highly suggest putting 4:10 gears in that vehicle just due to it being a heavier car and the gears being extremely long. Your leaving a lot of acceleration on the table and with that motec it would be a perfect marriage.
@@MustangLifestyleTV it has 3-31 gears from the factory and it’s a double overdrive and your probably doing 120 in 3rd gear. Your are losing boost and acceleration when you shift because they thing is falling off due to gearing. Plus that’s a damn near 4K lb car with you in it. 4:10 gears will give you a mechanical advantage and with that traction control you can take advantage of it. Trust me it will be night and day. It should also put you into the top of 4th gear through the quarter which is what you want. Even with that power you are going to get gapped by less powerful cars not only cause you have a manual but because the gearing and the weight the vehicle. Trust me mine makes just as much power as yours but in a 2990 lbs street car but it runs mid 7’s and cuts 4’s through the 1/8 mile with 3:55 gears through a 4l80e with a manual valve body. And we are still sorting out the setup.
Any one wondering who did a fantastic job at building this monster "Modular head shop " respect he got a Chanel make sure to subscribe to his channel 👌💪🤘😎
Like I said before my supersnake is 900hp and on the street it's nuts fast and it's hard to hook but 1352hp is just too much for the street. It's like thinking my 900hp plus a Terminator power on top of my 900hp.THAT'S CRAZY TOO THINK.I even think my 07 427 convertable supersnake is fast with roughly 650hp and it is lol the power numbers today are nuts.
Good evening. That Shelby is BAF. I'm interested in buying a 2013-2014 Shelby GT500 engine and transmission swap for my 1990 coupe. If anyone out there has a lead please let me know. Thank you
Hey I talked to a company in Australia about sequential shifter that will bolt on the tr6060 for my Shelby it’s a little pricey I might try to get on next year
@@gregoryjowers3629 saw a well known drift RU-vid lose the on the great escape show because she couldn't get it in reverse under pressure. All the players in the show said it was a good shifter unless you want to go into reverse quickly.
