Great rakes. Work great to lift a crop that's been down a while. A Bit hard to explain but I will try to explain my method for raking. on the average crop I work 3 swathes into 1 and work in a spiral. drive the tractor between the 2nd and 3rd swathe and the rake will take the 3rd and 2nd swathe and roll it onto the 1st. Continue this till you get to the middle of the paddock then turn around and work your way back which will put the 1st swathe into the windrow plus it will make sure all swathes have been turned up to get the last bit of moisture out of the stems. Can also use this method to put 4 into 1 for lighter crops. Going on the heavier crops generally start with 3 into 1 for the first lap to open up the paddock so there is enough room to get the truck in to pick up the bales once pressed. then 2 into 1 for the remaining paddock so you can pick up ground speed with the baler.
Wish I could show you what I am up to. Currently mowing with NH 96.behind Ford 7700. Just competed 10 ha and started next 12 ha. More after that. Nothing better than putting away fodder for the tight times.
Hi there, thanks! I used grade 2 grease, although you’ve reminded me that I was going to top it up with gear oil, it’ll then be a similar consistency to semi fluid grease. 👍🏻
