Joey really does cross country quite well. He looks more mature than he does during jumping lessons, like he’s truly in his element galloping around outside over obstacles! 👏🏻

Pretty sure he's already fully grown....do you mean when his coat comes through? It's funny because all of the young grey horses that I know are the same colour as Joey and I can't imagine them or Joey being fully grey.

@@spiderman933 A horse at might stable used to be a dappled grey, (his coat was *very* dark) and 10 years later he's a full grey like pretty much white. 🤷

its amazing to see in the head-cam footage how he continuously turns back an ear, showing that even though he obviously finds it very fun, he is still very controlled and listens to you :) i think that's very inspirational and just goes to show what an amazing baby boy he is and what incredible bond the two of you already have!

Super proud of you. Your trainer gave you fantastic advice, and you did right by him. People forget that the horse doesn't know if you miss a fence, so if you choose to go by it to give him a positive ride, than he is none the wiser. Sounds like you gave him a very positive experience and he looked content at the end. Well done. I think eventing may be in your future, he has a lovely positive jump and you have a great seat cross country. So excited for your future.
