First Impression: 2012 Honda CRF450R 

I love Honda but man Kawi is really stepping it up. Maybe its time to go with green.

The 2 stroke v 4 stroke thing can go on forever! Both have their pro's and cons. And the whole thing about a CR500 would smash a 450R is so down to the situation. Yes the 500 has more power, and yes it would win a drag. But round a track or on loose dirt, the 450 defs has the edge. 4 strokes have much better traction, and considering a 450 makes round about 55HP, do you really need more? I have a 125 SX and love the two smokers. But it doesnt matter what you ride, as long as you ride!

hey im 15 i wld say i can ride pretty well im looking at getting the 250r but im afraid that it wont have enough power to suit riding on tracks hitting all the jumps and the dunes being able to get up all the big hills any suggestions?

bring back the cr250r 2stroke

@medicaltranseint they restrict it to make it ama legal but when someone buys this bike the exhaust is one of the first thing to go.

@SorrellsAV agreed a cr500 will definitely out perform but weight wise you cant manouver like i can. and no i dont drag race thats boring. and lastly, if u put a 2 stroke in any of the pros hands they will shred way more then on a 4 stroke. the only reason that the 4 strokes are now faster then the 2's is because you can do way more to the different parts of the engine. if they actually spent as much time on the engine of a 2-stroke as they do on fours then theyll have competition

@stevensj13 lol it defs aint stock then. a New YZ 250 2 stroke is rated at about 46HP. So youre either full of it, or its a worked as engine

Dear Honda, put a 2 stroke in it and then put the showa suspension back on it and you will have trouble keeping up with supply and demand - enough said.

@stevensj13 rofl I dont see any proof. All I see is you saying a 2005 KX 250 has 58.2HP. No Stock 250 2stroke makes that much power. My old man has a 2006 KTM300EXC, dyno'd at 50HP. You really think a Jap 250 makes more? Dreaming buddy

yes.. riding boots are just as important as a helmet. You can save you entire leg by waering them. They do help alot bc it keep you so stable. PLease get a pair b4 you get your foot riped off by a passing rider

dude how much different can they make these bikes, i think this is the best a dirt bike can be, next year its not gona be much different and the year after and the next.
