A lot of Amouage fragrances are definitely blended for a slightly more mature “nose”. I didn’t like Interlude Man when it first came out & took me about 2yrs before I started liking it but when Interlude Black Iris came out it was definitely more wearable due to the Iris. Definitely a colder climate fragrance for sure. I think Jubilation 25 slightly sweeter can stretch into Spring.
I abused Holidays in the summer and it was awesome! :D It definitely shares the sunscreen profile that Vanilla Vibes (Juliette Has A Gun) and Beach Walk (Maison Margiela).
Hard for me to pick between Dia and Beach Hut as my favorite Amouage. Dia is much more versatile, bright, juicy, floral, leathery, with a slight smokiness from their signature frankincense. It’s on par with Reflection as far as versatility is concerned. It’s a subtle one from the house, it sits close to the skin with moderate sillage which I think is why it gets a bit overlooked. Underrated imo. Beach Hut is the yellow beast. Not as complex as some of the other offerings from the house but still interesting. Freshness from the mint, ivy,and Vetiver and warmth from the myrrh and patchouli combo in the base. Longevity and Sillage are insane. Suitable from Spring to Fall.
Definitely older! Anyways I tried Egypt and I really didn’t like it. The spices are unbalanced and has this masculine burn I don’t like. Also somehow the leather ends up smelling like an animalic castoreuM. Different tastes haha
