Many thanks for looking in and your comments, if you have the Trumpeter Hood check out the Hood association website they have a full rview and a list of tweaks, the kit was developed with their help. Which Bismarck do you have?
@@ModelkitStuff Thanks Jason, I'm planning to build it straight out of the box. I've never undertaken a model like this one. I'm a little nervous about dealing with alot of pe parts so I thought I'd start with the Bismark. The Hood actually has a little photo etch so, I thought I would try to ease into it. I plan on building the Prinz Eugen and the HMS Prince of Wales. So, basically I'm going to ease into adding more detail as I progress from one model to the next.
I know when I get to the P.o.W I'll have to do some serious modifications. I know she is configured after her refit following the battle with the Bismark and the Prinz Eugen.
Fantastic review as always. I think this would be an amazing build, The Japanese built unique looking ships that also as models really stand out on the display shelf. Would you sell this to me? Seriously ! 🙏 👍

The hump/deck extension at the left rear is only accurate for Yamashiro. They used the same hull moulds for the Fuso, and the difference is pretty large, so the Fuso kit is a bit of a crock. Fujimi kits are superb and generally accurate in the underwater department, which is not the case of the fictional Hasegawa Nagato hull, and I am not talking of that kit's ridiculous grid lines! The big Fujimi hull parts are often warped and a bear to align however... There is a nice feel to these kits, with great extras like 4 view posters. I leaned towards 1/200, but kits there were so poor in accuracy it is Fujimi quality that brought me to 1/350 all on its own, which is saying something...
