These reboxed Hasegawa and Dragon Models kits are getting long in the tooth but they are the only game in town for modelling latewar German jet designs. We need new models of these aircraft, tooled to current standards. I’ve never bought a Hobby 2000 kit because I have the Hasegawa and Dragon kits, so now I know. Thanks Jase.
Hi Jason, Thanks for another great First Impressions. It's a really interesting plane. It's to bad that the kit doesn't live up to what we expect from a kit these day. I sure wouldn't buy one. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day my friend. Jeff
Hi Jason, great review, thanks! I have Avenger in 1/72 from Hobby2000, also rebox from Hasegawa, 30 year old tool. I was 'reviewing' it while watching your vid and it has exactly the same content (masks, cartograf decals, all sprues in one box, flimsy packaging, plastic quality), so... Although I do intend to make it, decals are for plane piloted by Huxtable from CV Gambier Bay during Battle of Leyte :) I agree they should inform on the box that it's an old kit and what manufacturer it was made by, otherwise it's misleading. Regards, Dom
Hope you have fun with this one. I've got their 72 scale Catalina in the stash. Not long after I started the hobby, me Da's mate gave me a pile of old kits. Among them were Revell's 32 scale Storch and 48 scale Ju-88 C6 - both of which turned out to be 2003ish Hasegawas. They remain 2 of my all-time favourite builds, which hopefully is a good sign for this one.
Simple kit HASEGAWA reboxé . Ce même kit est repris par REVELL avec ajout de pièces différentes . Beau Kit pour son AGE avec des Pièces Transparentes de Qualité .
From some other reviews of Hobby 2000 kits I had the impression they generally select fairly good kits for their reboxing. This gives some doubts on that.
