Just FYI, you can get in trouble pronouncing that country as you did. Say it as, "Nih-jeer." Saying it the other way, even though the proper pronunciation, can be problematic because of today's insane politics.
When I was at the Great Mosque of Bandung, I was also there. The park was closed because it was approaching Maghrib and people were prohibited from entering and will reopen after the maghrib prayer. Iwas taking a photo of the mosque from the end of the park, inside the park, and an officer asked me to come out. Previously I had seen you while in the old shopping area before you going to the mosque. If i had known you were there, i would have gone.... Now.... I have returned to my city Banda Aceh in Aceh province... I sent an istagram message to you at that time 🥲
My first impression of you that i thought you are so serious guy type and mysterious person with your face expression, but apparently you are a funny, humble and kind person so i finally subscribed your channel. Thanks for making natural and honest videos of Indonesia, i hope you enjoy Indonesia 🇮🇩
There are three kinds of police in Indonesia. First is National Police with brown uniforms, 2nd is the local government police/city police, which you had met in this vlog. 3rd is private security, actually, they are not police but use brown uniforms similar to the national police. Usually, you can see security in the mall, office buildings, train stations etc.
As an Indonesian, seeing the country from an outsider's eye is always interesting. Apart from that, your "santai" style makes it more interesting. Thank you, Carlos.
@@ariandrei iya karena negara kita jarang ada yang tau .. makanya menarik liat sudut pandang orang asing terhadap negara kita. Ga ada yang salah sih. Tp kebanyakan orang Indonesia memang begitu kok...
@@makamindo so teu banget ini. Pertama lu nangkep kata2 saya sebatas saya orang yg girang krn negara saya dikunjungi orang asing Sekarang POV mu geser ngikutin POV saya setelah saya2 kata2in. Tp tetep lu innuendo kata2 saya dgn bilang “emng banyak orang indonesia kaya gitu” Dari mana lu tau kalau banyak orang indonesia kaya gitu? Maksa banget
Have a Great Weekend Carlos😀 the soup called "soto bandung" made from beef not tongue, but every restaurant have various way to cook it, such as little chewy, or very soft, and then the bajigur made from coconut milk and brown sugar, and originally has sweet taste, maybe you can try "Bandrek" the drink made from ginger and brown sugar, and the taste is a lil bit spicy and warm.
Bandung is very artistic , very historical & clean ! I love it ! No traffic jams, there ? Thanks a lot to Carlos for sharing this beautiful vlog from Bandung. Enjoy your weekend in Bandung ("Paris van Java") & thanks for visiting Indonesia. Take care.
@@WildCARLOSappeared I agree with you Carlos, I just visit my home town few weeks ago, I was very shocked with Bandung this day, I can't going here and thre on time, I always missed Bandung in 1990.
Bandung looks interesting, you should ask that girl at the department store with the microphone to take you on a food vlog of Bandung, she speaks good English and would know some of the intresing food spots, good work Carlos
16:13 that building behind (right side at the second floor) the people is my work office since 2016 until moment before the governor changed .. so nostalgic
13:29 The Civil Service Police Unit (Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja) is an apparatus of the Provincial and Regency/City Regional Governments whose aim is to maintain peace and public order and to enforce regulations.

Enjoy your trip in Indonesia, Carlos... Hope you can visit another place in Indonesia, start from West to the East of Indonesia, feel the Happiness and of course the kindness of Indonesian ❤❤❤
But Indonesian prople have to take care of your country, try not to put rubish everywhere and don't just hang around doing nothing, be active and be creative!
Guten Appetit Carlos der Abendteuer! Ich liebe Sundanese Speise, weil ich vegetarian Lalap mit Sambal mag. Bandung hat viele schone Architecture so wie Artdeco in Sate Gebaude.
Hi Will, greetings from me, I like your videos, you are friendly with the Indo people around you and the children, I hope the videos are good, ok can you visit Bandung again, I'm from Bandung😃
it's not a police girl, it's a satpol pp .. its rank can be said to be lower than the police. usually they work only to discipline traders, illegal parking, prostitution places .In essence, Satpol PP was formed to enforce regional regulations and regional regulations, maintain public order and peace, and carry out community protection. And the women are usually to discipline the violators who are women too. Don't forget Carlos, you have to try traditional Sundanese food. Like cilok, cimol, cireng, vegetarian karedok, and if you like spicy food try Seblak. Enjoy in Bandung, b Bandung is also famous for young people who have high creativity in Indonesia.😊
I think what you eat, it's not Lotek... it's a different food i think it's Gado-Gado. Lotek is a Sundanese food with lots of fruit in it with special sauce.
8:55 don't compare bandung with yogyakarta because bandung is very wide and the city center is far apart unlike jogja only one point, so it's confusing to explore 20:00 you parked wrongly, you should park under the mosque, there is a basement. You will get a 3k/hour parking ticket, which is safer because there are officers (don't ask why it's expensive because the salaries in Bandung and Jogja are different, high salaries, high costs) ENJOY IN BANDUNG BRO🍻
Hello Carlos, Thank you for visiting the city of Bandung.. try to take a vehicle called bandros, a kind of mini bus to get around the places in the city of Bandung, later someone will talk about the history of the places in the city of Bandung.. it will definitely add more clear knowledge about the city of Bandung.. sorry if this city still has shortcomings, & thank you for traveling around our beloved city, have fun in Bandung broo
@@WildCARLOSappeared If u still in West Java, you can go to the south, there are many beautiful beaches, on the way you will pass through a stretch of tea gardens
the price of a parking ticket in Bandung really costs 5000, that's normal, I'm also an ordinary Bandung person, a parking ticket costs that much, before it was only 2000 to 3000 but now it's 5000
@@WildCARLOSappeared Parking cost is more expensive in Bandung due to the living cost in cities of West Java such as Bandung is higher than the living cost in cities of Central Java such as Jogja & Semarang... you may also need to learn Sundanese, a language, spoken in West Java... People in Central Java and East Java speak Javanese.....
