There's nothing like image stabilized binoculars, once you try them you can't really go back, I just wished we had more options. Like a higher magnification L model from Canon would be amazing.
have the 12x36 III , the only objectionable issue for me is the CA on high contrast objects, for astronomy it isnt a problem, for birding i would go the 10x42 route. (havent tried them though). i got mine for general use, star gazing, travelling and hiking and for that they are overall a better pick than the 10x42i think due to weight difference (and its half the price).
Canon 18x50 IS Image Stabilized Binoculars or Canon 10x42 L IS WP Image Stabilized Binoculars (both are listed @ 1.5k USD @ b & h as of march 2023) main purpose : STARGAZING / ASTRONOMY which binoculars would be best suited for this?
I would tend to the 10x42 because of the greater field of view and the higher optical quality. I tried them at night and they are great. Haven't tried the 18x50.
Thanks for the video. I’ve had my eyes on the 10x42 for many years but I think I’m finally going to pull the trigger on these bad boys as I’m going on a trip in the Fall .
