First Day in Congo 🇨🇩 

While no one was expecting the #Nyiragongo Volcano to erupt, it surprised the whole city at 6.00 PM, starting around Kibumba, going down northeastern the city. Though, the city was not much damaged as it was the case 20 years before (2002), the Buhene quarter, in Goma suburb was the main concerned. The lava stopped at less than 500 meters away from the airport.
Something still hard to understand is that the Goma Volcanic Observatory did not make any announcement regarding the eruption to prevent or prepare the population to evacuate the city on time.
Though the lava stopped flowing, many people are still displaced because of eruption.
