Johor Bahru is a bit expensive due to its close proximity to Singapore. Johor Bahru is fast developing lot of construction because of Projek Iskandar, RTS link train 🚆 etc. Maybe 2,3 years most of these construction will be completed we will see newly transform Johor Bahru

All the way since your days in Laos.....now finally, you come to a place i called home as well. Ypu, Johor bahru aka JB is much expensive compare to the other cities in Malaysia. usually, weekend would be packed with Singaporeans . anyway, hope you enjoy yourselves. Happy exploring mates!

Malaysia have 4 type of laksa, one is Laksa penang, laksa johor, laksa sarawak and another one is laksam from kelantan, the taste is quite different, at johore the famous food is nasi beryani, kacang pools, mee bandung muar and much more

JB is considered the outskirt of Singapore which is in need of bigger space and workforce. Both cities complement each other nicely. More and more companies from Sg will be taking advantage of these.

You should try go to Desaru it has nice beaches. And the seafood there are really great but mind the prices.

Johor is still considered a Malay state as majority of population are Malay, but as other big cities in Malaysia Johor Bahru is multicultural and multireligious city. The most famous Johor food specialities are; 1- Laksa Johor 2- Mee Rebus (Boiled Noodle) 3- Mee Bandung 4- Otak-otak 5- Kacang Pool (pool of beans) with thick bread for breakfast.

Hi Olivia & Marco, you guy are so cool and very economy travel part of Malaysia. Johore Baharu are very big state. You should visit Kota Tinggi " Water Fall". While you are in JB, should visit Selera Johore near Larkin bus terminal there you can find all malay authentic food. All stall are walking distance. And also visit Muar or Batu Pahat. Enjoy keep on exploring and be safe, with your bike you can reach all Malaysia state. I enjoy your video

I find Johor not so exciting for me but it has a good bus stop at Larkin you can go anywhere cheap even to Singapore for a day trip but you don't need a bus you have your scooter.

RTS Link project is a future connectivity project between Malaysia and Singapore. As a local lives in Johor Bahru, I would've like to visit shopping malls like The Mall in Mid Valley or the City Square in Johor Bahru city.

they key to safe riding is not go too fast..remember guys..in mlysia road accident is so high..thousand of cases. hundreds of death each year. even professional rider no gurantee to be 90 percent safe..boz among others the attitude of motorists (in mlysia) wth regard to obeying road traffic laws..

Johor laksa differ from the other version because instead of using rice flour noodle they used spegetti and the gravy is usually thicker in consistency

JB is Malaysia 3rd biggest city i believe...nothing fancy there except food i believe....expensive like KL except for the singaporean that always came to shop and fill in their tanks for subsidary petrol in JB....that what i think as the local....come visit us in N9....there is more nature than meets the eye lol

Personally, even as a Malaysian, it's hard to say what to do in Johor Bahru when planning a vacation. I think Johor Bahru feels like Kuala Lumpur-just another big city center BUT with no unique landmark or identity. So it's better to go to KL instead of Johor Bahru. Maybe it's because I'm not from Johor and don't live there. So, maybe any Malaysians watching this video can give suggestions if they have any.

wow... yeah you should try the Laksa Johor and its hard to find in any food stall or any warung. Laksa Johor got a lot of ingredients and fish as a protein. If you guy ride through Pontian, Benut then Batu Pahat. Batu Pahat is my home town, my treat Laksa Johor if you headed here. Please do msg me if you are interested. i've been watching your journey a lot from your videos. A lot of information..

Fish head curry is quite expensive. The history is that the Chinese brought the menu for the Chinese workers who worked in Malaya. JB is more modern & developing. singapore was under Joho's rule

Malaysian myself, I think Johor still lack infrastructure that supports urban lifestyle such as open green parks, lane/streets of cafes/food vendors, ‘fashion malls’, educational parks, & lack of sidewalks.

In the 70s and early 80s, Malaysian used to go to Singapore to shop like how Singaporean goes to JB to shop nowadays.

JB is a run down poorly managed city - kept alive by venturing Singaporeans looking for 'cheap everything '. There's nothing exceptional on offer so best to move on quickly if u can.

There is Muar, Mersing, the islands off Mersing, Desaru beach, etc. So many things to see, eat, do in the state of Johor. Dont just go to JB.

Johor is one of the most rich state both in development n natural beauty. Only one hour from the big city you can enjoy the beautiful east coast beach, not include others attractions like waterfalls, tropical islands etc
