Welcome to Nepal. And that taxi driver said 2 thousand because he thought you wanted to go to the Bhaktapur Durbar Square as there are different Durbar Squares in Kathmandu valley. And you should travel to other places here excluding city areas to feel the nature ( trekking if possible )
This was probably one of the most engaging and genuinely just...fun vlogs I've ever watched. Can't put my finger on why exactly, its like so simple but it still feels kinda...special, and there's this certain kind of charm to it cuz of authenticity, which makes me feel like I'm there right now as well, and it looks really good. I guess that's kinda how an ideal vlog should be though right? idk, what I'm saying lol, but I liked it, wanna see more stuff like this, earned my sub
This is probably one of the nicest messages I’ve ever received! Thank you so much for your kindness and support. It makes me so happy to have people connect with my content 😊🙏 I really hope you keep enjoying them 🙏
Parents from Bhutan, me born in Nepal as refugee, moved to America 🇺🇸 when i was 11 yrs and now 23, even when i was back in my country we didn’t visit many places due to being poor, And now when i look at my beautiful country i want to visit every part of Nepal. Feels sad when foreigners have visited more places than the person who was born in the country. Hope 1 day i get to visit every places of Nepal and visit my childhood place even though it’s mostly jungle. 🇳🇵❤️
You will have a great respect for Nepalese when you get back home to Sydney. It’s gonna be a great life time experience one of a kind nowhere else you gonna find. Nepal is one piece like its flag.🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
Wow Ryleigh What a mesmerizing video. The traditional game with the locals took me to an immersive experience. It seemed that we were actually with you participating in the trip.
3:40 Wow The fluency of that Nepali boy in English is really appreciable. ❤ Welcome to Our Country ma'am. you're so georgous, beautiful and the way you can speàk in front of public is really impressive. ❤ I'm so happy you liked our country🎉🎉🎉 Keep visiting more places. ❤ Wish you will cross this 5k subs and hit 10k very soon 💖💕
I was in Kathmandu a month ago and really enjoyed its streets and people. It was a bit surreal, but at the same time, incredible. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Congratulations again on your video!
Loved this vlog about your time in Kathmandu! Getting to see Durbar Square and the local neighborhoods was amazing - you highlighted so many fascinating details. Your openness to immersing yourself in the culture is inspiring as a solo female traveler. Can't wait to see where you take us next! ❤
Namaste Ryleigh, Basantapur being one of the most visited place (like a junction) for me and my friend, it's good to see a traveller experiencing some of the great crafts by Nepalese people. You somehow reminded many people including myself to play one of the oldest game of Nepal i.e. Baghchal as we are moving away from our own culture. I guess you missed actual side of museum which was located near Sweta Bhairav Temple. Lastly, I want everyone to see humble, helpful and kind side of Nepalese people and convey a message that Nepal is one of the most peaceful country in the world. Welcome to Nepal 🙏🙏
You’re channel is growing FAST. insane how many people are making travel vlogs now. It’s refreshing to see a female doing it. I’ve been a little bit of a chicken thinking about solo traveling but if you can do it no excuses for me! 😂 good luck safe travels !
Thank you! I am not travelling alone though🙏 I feel confident enough in Nepal to do day adventures by myself and I prefer filming solo but I do have people I travel and hang out with later in the day. I personally wouldn’t go adventuring in every country solo but there are lots of people who do. I wish you lots of good luck on your journey🙏
The first taxi driver was referring to Bhaktapur Darbar Square and hence asking for Nrs 2000 which is the fair price because it’s more than 4 times further away than to the Kathmandu Darbar Square. Two different places. Btw there’re a third one as well Patan Darbar Square. Please do not get confused and mixed up ❤️🙏
You were super nice to all the people you met. Watching this video was a treat. So glad I clicked on it. Hope you'll have a wonderful time here in Nepal. Much love Riley ❤️
Namaste Rayleigh, I hope you like my country Nepal and have a great time whilst you’re here. Like everywhere else you might experience positive and negative moments however, please take all the positive ones and forget the rest ❤
Namaste, Welcome to Nepal. Actually kathmandu, bhaktapur and lalitpur is one of the most beautiful heritage and cultural . If you want to explore more museums. I will give you location of that place where everything you can see and take a culture vibes of old heritage. (Chhauni Silkhana is place name, still it is popular made of stone and metal.. But if you go bhaktapur don’t forget to taste curd because it is one of the most famous in nepal Made up of (juju dhau) It is all dairy product made up of newari people.Thank you dhanyabad🙏
First thing, I admire your confidence. Second, this video was greatly insightful. I go somewhere new every year so these kind of videos aid immensely to the planning of my next trips. Sending thanks, from 🏴
Glad that people from another country come to explore Nepal and they like Nepal. I would like to recommend you to visit Bungamati a beautiful town in Lalitpur Kathmandu Valley also❤❤❤
You should definitely visit these mandatory places: 1. Kathmandu Durbar Square 2. Bhaktapur Durbar Square 3. Patan Durbar Square 4. Swoymbhunath (Monkey Temple) 5. Pashupatinath I’m soon travelling to Australia and would love to know cool places. Enjoy Nepal!!
Thank you for the recommendations! For Australia I haven’t travelled too much outside of Sydney in Australia but I would recommend seeing: 1. Opera house 2. Botanical gardens 3. Manly Beach 4. Australia Zoo 5. Harbour Bridge 6. Luna Park 7. Surfers Paradise (in Queensland!) 8. Scenic Railway Blue Mountains Let me know if you need any more recommendations I listed 99% Sydney places there is so much more to see than just what’s in Sydney but I wasn’t really sure where you are visiting 😊 I hope you have the best time in Australia 🙏
I think Pashupatinath isn't for tourist. People cremate bodies there so unless you're Hindu lol . Few missing places Chandragiri Cable Car, Boudhanath Stupa, Nagarkot,
Also bauddhanath one of the coolest and biggest stupa in the world...also chandragiri hills and nagarkot if you have time to witness best sunrise and sunset view with the mountains in the background if weather helps you..
Besides Kathmandu and Pokhara places, you can also visit Chitwan Sauraha , which is a part of the national park. You can enjoy most of the wild life and nature there. You also can take a ride on elephant 🐘 and suffari jeep there.
Thank you, that's amazing what you displayed in your video. And your politeness and courtesy transcend language barriers. Thank you once again for showing what Nepal has to offer. New subscriber here!
The bagh-chaal moment was fantastic! I was in awe how quickly you learnt and played the game. I enjoyed it as much as you did! Kudos to the man for patiently teaching you. What a great vlog! I am in Sydney right now, hoping to play some bagh-chaal😁
🇳🇵 Sending warm wishes to you as you embark on your journey to Nepal! May your time in this beautiful country be filled with incredible adventures, cultural discoveries, and unforgettable moments. Thank you for taking the initiative to explore and share the wonders of Nepal with the world. Safe travels, and may your experiences inspire others to embark on their own journeys of discovery. Looks so beautiful!! Great vlog :) I was super close to going to Nepal then backed out because of the cold in December, my heart still calls to Nepal, maybe I can go another time! Much love ❤❤❤
@@RyleighJayne I think I will someday! Thank you for sharing your experience there. Take care and all the best! 🙏❤️ wish you a beautiful and blessed new year too! 😄😄
It's 4:43 am in Canada and I've watched this full video without skipping a time and even I don't know how 45 minutes passes and I haven't slept yet so yeah Good to see my home country vlogs. Thank you.
Hey Ryleigh, First of all Thank you so much for visiting Nepal and enjoying your stay here. I just wanted to say that you missed out kaal bhairav and taleju temple in this vlog.. those are two beautiful temples as well. Actually you were standing right behind kaal bhairav temple at one point 😂😂 Do visit them as well if you come around next time ❤❤
SORRY FOR THE MUSEUM... Due to earthquake damage, the most of the area are still under renovation, possibly it will be done before your next visit to Nepal. Thank you for coming to see us. love from nepal
Hi Ryleigh, I suggest you absolutely do not miss Bhaktapur Durbar Square :) the architecture there is just stunning and if you're lucky there may be some Dhime/jatra performance in the courtyard or alleyways. I would ask the ticket booth staff or locals around if there are any special performances happening anytime soon. It's very awe-inspiring to witness the Newar bands celebrations up close and personal. You should take a day to explore the museum in Patan Durbar Square and if time allows the museum in Bhaktapur Durbar Square as well. The Patan museum is completely part of the actual palace of Patan, same with Bhaktapur one! I highly recommend you don't miss the Patan museum. If you're on the hunt for good food you really don't have to look far, there are looots of cafes and restaurants right inside Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares. If you've never had buffalo before I highly highly recommend the Buffalo burger in Mo:Mo King Rooftop restaurant and also their Chatamari and Wo: (might be written as Bara in the menu). I am also recommending this restaurant because it has 5 levels and all the top levels overlook the Square so the view is to die for! In Bhaktapur Durbar Square there is a small restaurant right outside the square entrance called Kaustav or Newari Kitchen. I recommend going there to try their Wo: (It's bara on the menu again) and the Lungs fry with their special sauce. Anyways this is all my suggestions from my visit there recently. Good luck and I wish you have a good experience.
You are full of energetic vibes, well spoken, superb personality, friendly, & all as the package of someone with good tastes. I hope you got good vibes around the people there as well.
FYI, There are 3 durbar squares in Kathmandu valley: 1. Kathmandu Durbar Square 2. Patan Durbar Square 3. Bhaktapur Durbar Square Wish you a pleasant stay in Nepal!
I just stumbled upon your channel today while searching for 'coffee in Thailand' , and it is such a cool channel. Great work. Looking forward to more. Have always wanted to travel to Nepal, and this is such a relaxed recording capturing the street vibe. Lots of love from India.
Bagchal is such an interesting game. I've heard about it but never had the chance to play. Thanks for sharing. I will definitely buy it on my next visit to Nepal. Love from Cambridge,Uk ❤
Congratulation for becoming an international traveler to one of the most talked about destination in the world. Make the best out of the rough and tough and fun Nepal Ryleigh...I am sure you will gain so much knowledge
All the best take a one day at a time ....and believe that you are learning from the experiences that will only make you stronger and more mature....and enjoy the holidays in to the new world for you.....😊😊
I’m with may be 1000 others watching our beautiful country Nepal 🇳🇵 from abroad and missing badly. For those people who are afraid to travel now is start travelling or regret later. Thanks for your video.
I am in Sydney since 2020, and the place where she visited is where I was born. I was overwhelmed and felt proud when she was surprised and amazed with the places and architecture. Just like people in Nepal, people here in Australia are very kind to you, that's what i felt since I arrived here. Thank you for visiting our country and being an advocate for other tourists.
I lived in a monastery in Nepal when I was little for 2 years and I’ll be going back in June for a year after being away for 17 years and seeing Nepal through your eyes is simultaneously nostalgic and refreshing! So excited to go back!
Was about to say you should do a collab with Luke while both of you are there. Got surprised & absolutely stocked to see him there near the end lol. Also great video!!! P.s. watching my hometown from your hometown 🇳🇵🇦🇺😂.
In tourist area everyone wants to sell their product or service. And being too nice is not always good as well soo don't be uncomfortable and take your stand, do what you want. And thank you for visiting❤. Hope you will enjoy much more.🎉
Wonderful video..Kudos to you Ryleigh, what really surprised me was People in nepal can speak fairly enough in english comparing to the most other asian countries i've visited in the past..Bravo Nepalese!!!
Thanks for visiting Nepal 🇳🇵 it is the most beautiful country in the world. People is very friendly and so fun to talk to. I’ve enjoyed watching your vlog!
You explored only a small part of the museum. There was a courtyard inside and there were some other buildings where you can explore. Mostly Newari (indigenous people of Kathmandu valley) architecture if you are interested. Also you can take the video of the courtyard and architecture of the palace where Kumari (the living goddess) resides. You just can't film or take photo of Kumari when she shows herself through the window but during Indra Jatra (festival of Kathmandu valley locals; celebrated from end of september to second or third day of october ), she tours the area in chariot, at that time you can take pictures or video of her as well. Hope you will enjoy your stay at Nepal and welcome to Nepal
it would be great if you had visited with guides. ima tourism student myself.i was there with my teacher and he explained me each and everything so greatly like i was visiting a whole different place even though i had visited that place like more than 100 times in my life.that place has a great history.
I will try to get a guide next time to explore more history 😊🙏 I liked going alone just because it’s easier to connect with more people and do spontaneous things like play board games if the opportunity arises. Thanks for watching and for the suggestion!
Thankyou So much for exploring our Beautiful country Nepal🇳🇵& I Wish you have a Nice Journey in Nepal... Nepalese people are so kindly and helpful... Hey Guys let's hit 50k subscribers from the Nepal ❤😊
Welcome to Nepal. Keep exploring the Kathmandu valley where you will find rich newa culture of Nepal. Let me know if you need any help to explore local foods and culture of Kathmandu valley.
Visit Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Dubar Square. You will explore culture in detail and find local authentic food in the alleys of Patan and Bhaktapur.
Ryleigh, I visited Nepal May this year and visited Durbar Square. I know most tourists prefer doing their own touring. Sometimes, especially in the case of Durbar Square and larger sites, it's better to have a guide. They would explain the history of every building/temple and fascinating stories that are part of these structures. Our guide charged us INR 500 for a tour of the entire area. A plus was seeing Kumari, the Living Goddess, for a few moments. The guide organizes this at a particular time in the mornings.
Yes! Thank you so much! You are right, I think a guide would’ve added much to the history but also I’m glad I got to roam and play games with nice people and eat nice food. Sometimes guide can be too structured. I will try to get one on another adventure 😊🙏
Nepal (Around Kathmandu valley) has like 3 Durbar squares within 10 miles. Each Durbar square has a unique name. I am surprised and glad that she actually found where she wanted to go.
There are 3 durbar squares. at first the driver was asking Bhaktapur durbar square, you said yes which is about 13km from Thame. the durbar square you are looking for is only 1km from Thamel. another durbar square in Patan Lalitpur.👍
