Malaysia said on Wednesday the Paris Court of Appeal had stayed the ruling, after finding that enforcement of the award could infringe the country's sovereignty. The heirs to the last Sultan of Sulu said they entered a deal in 1878 with a British trading company to utilize resources in Sabah. Malaysia took over the arrangement and paid a token sum to the Kirams. This stopped in 2013, with Malaysia arguing that no one else had a right over Sabah, which was part of its territory. The Kirams last week moved to seize two Luxembourg-based units of Malaysian state oil firm Petronas. But the company said it will defend its legal position, according to Reuters. @@zailinahmad9695 yeah i never actually underrate my city..in fact i am even overproud of it if im telling about kk to my fellow non sabahan about how exciting kota kinabalu city is...but what im saying we are not on other big cities level, in Semenajung area such as the BIG 5(klang Valley cities including KL,Johor Bahru,Penang,Melaka city and Putrajaya) is because of our city beautification sight , orderliness and Cleanliness...we are far behind all of this cities i listed.what bothersome also their countless of immigrant PATI in and out the city which make it even worse!!..also KK city lack of unique and advance architechtural design be it short or tall building....Kuching city is even Way more advance and clean with tidyness than KK city...not to mention the Sarawak capital city full of pockets of Beautiful variety of garden in and around the city....lets just say if kota kinabalu doesn't have nice shoreline such as pristine beautiful beach and Endless heavenly Hills and mountain, i dont even think KK will be as viral as it is now EVEN now!!...our city is also lucky that we have plenty seafood option with cheap bargain and so forth..other than that, Kota kinabalu city is actually one of a boring city ever alive....as we seen in this video above, both of them even almost ' No way to go'..other than museum, and Handricraft and souvenir market...other historical site almost non existent and not properly cared...other sighseeing area such as observation lookout at Bukit Bendera also in renovation for almost 2 year..and it doesn't looks like it will be complete and open within anyway soon....so practically the city area kind a like bland town.even the waterfront in front of Marriot hotel kk is not properly build and not well-maintained....and not much story to be tell other who have did been here to their relatives...lucklily, kk city nightlife plenty dotted in downtown city particularly Waterfront anjung Samudera area...which is the epicentre of KK nighlife scene....so it is not that i try to spread Cons or not proud..but i just feel it's quit sad that government always take granted on developing more safety, advance, excellent street scape as well as great insfrastructure and cleanliness around the Metropolitans...imagine if Kota kinabalu having the same treatment as the goverment of Sarawak manage their cities especially kuching,, we will be the best cities in Malaysia because in addition to our aplenty of luxury hotels and beautiful island and mountain/hills nearby, we will get the same recognition as Bali,Hawaii, Gold coast or even Singapore..

@@JetLagWarriors Ah, Encik Steve and Puan Ivana, thanks very much. It's where I thought it was. Was it in the Karamunsing /Kg Sembulan area just outside of the main town? If so, the mini Gotham City in front of you would be KK Times Square, called that in the old days anyhow. It wasn't there before and neither was Sutera Harbour. The marina around there was where a very old friend of mine spent most of his time conducting his social intercourse and business meetings (the same thing?). At least that's what his wife would say.
