I can tell you this....I have the a6400. Just bought the FX30. Major upgrade. Lowlight is excellent, 10 bit is fantastic. I just went out and did some night videos, using only street lamps. Brought it into my 4k screen, and was blown away. On a few shoots I went to ISO 8000 and it was still totally usable. Also, the tracking was flawless. After about 10 different settings, never once did it lose track of the subject. Again, this was only using street lamps. Many complainers, but this unit is fantastic. Still love my a6400 though.

I watched a bunch of fx 30 reviews and this one is my favorite. I like how they talked about how you can use vintage glass with it. I'm excited to see female filmmakers test it out. I feel like a lot of the camera reviews have a super techy focus. Plus with how RU-vid compresses videos anyway, its hard to tell the subtle differences. This made me feel like I'm out and about with these filmmakers in Flagstaff.

Lovely, lovely non-review that was better than the usual reviews. Thank you and best wishes to all film makers. The fact that the FX30 is S35 is wonderful-if S35 and the Academy format before that was good enough for most of the great cinema film makers, it's going to be good enough for us. This is the first Sony camera I'm interested in. Thanks for making this video.

Really like the way this video was put together - a lot different than what you typically see on YT. Also great seeing Deidra and Shonri a part of the testing and giving Native representation. Major props to Sony for having Oakley lead the way on this and giving my algorithm a much needed shot of new faces. One thing that I didn't see any ND's or matte boxes. Was the shutter just cranked up to compensate?

Thank you for all the insight. This has shot to the top of my cine camera wishlist. I’d love to learn more about using vintage lenses- which are compatible and the sort of adaptors one might need to use.

Thanks for the tests young women. Seems sharp. Liked the low-light capabilities but the color seemed to be a little flat. I trust that can be adjusted to pop a little more. It does seem to be very capable though, as did the film makers testing it out. (40 year Photojournalist / Also in Arizona, Rio Rico)

*I'll be buying this to Replace my a6400 and Change my mind on getting the A7C. I've been watching a lot of these reviews and So Far every one I've watched makes me want to Pre-order one and use it. So I'll I'll be pre-ordering this because it's also an APS-C camera which means I can use my Sigma 16mm f/2.8 until I get another lens for this*

Was this *all* shot on the FX30 cameras? I ask because there are shallow depth of field shots that are very hard to get with APS-C sensors all over this video. You can do it if you have a fast enough lens (Loving my Sigma 18-35 F1.8), but then you have to compromise on OIS, cost or other lens features.

Do we really need fx30 to use vintage (photo) lenses ? What is the purpose ? And the most important : where is the passion to shoot without viewfinder ? XH2 aps-c 8k 26mpx and fuji color science could be a better option to shoot with video vintage lenses on tripod. But im waiting to take a look on z9.

Sony should release a Sony FX3 Pro version: Removing the photo mode leaving it only video, removing the grip handle, the non-folding vlog screen leaving it in its original mode. (SIGMA fp L STYLE)

@@user-so7fw3vp5s согласен, скорее всего именно так, но у Sony A1 вспышка срабатывает и от электронного затвора) "Sony A1 synchronizes with Sony flashes up to 1/400sec per mechanical shutter and up to 1/200 sec per electronic shutter" Но уровень камер разный конечно.

video samples looks bad for cinema camera ,for apc camera normal :D can it record 4k 120 to normal sd card or you need atype card?

I don't think it was the camera's fault. Before I bought the FX3 I also saw poor samples of famous people and good samples of lesser known people on YT. I think it will be a pretty good camera. It's a pity that the second ISO is only 2500.
