That day was windy at the Rambla because… almost everyday is windy there! Hope you come back to Uruguay and enjoy so many beautiful places.

I love Uruguay, people are very kind . The safest country in Latin America. There are 3,500.000 people . Montevideo the most European city in Latin America ❤

Im from England uk but my mum is from Montevideo and uncle from Buenos Aires they both live in England Montevideo and Paris france are the only citys and two countrys ive ever been to outside of England when i was 2 years old i plan on visiting Montevideo and buenos Aires in the future 2 great citys you should also visit punte del Este Uruguays city full of millionaires famous beaches its on the east part of the country.

It so nice to see such a nice people visiting my city, very glad that you enjoyed despite being here only 1 day. I hope you can spend more time next time. The day you were in montevideo was easter sunday, and is I ne of the most quiet days of the year in the city because we usually take some days off and make a little travel.

The water of the River Plate is brown due to the silt generated by the outflow if the Uruguay and Parana rivers which empty into the river or estuary if the Rio de la Plata. It is safe to swim in. As you travel further eastward the river turns into the Atlantic Ocean and water becomes clearer. I used to swim as a child in the waters of Pocitos beach. Your video brought me so many memories of the place of my birth.

I love to travel myself, went to Europe a couple of times, to the U.S, Brazil and Argentina of course. Matt's articulations and gestures totally remind me of David Attenborough at a younger age. In Montevideo you got the best out of Sunday. Buenos Aires is very diverse, large and somewhat confusing. There is one of the few "Kosher" McDonald's worldwide. After Tango, Maradona and Evita, you can look forward to a lot of delicious food.

In Sundays , we rest and enjoy time with family , the city center is more populated on working days. Also , we dont do church much , we are one of the most secular countries on earth. One more thing we are now 3.5 million , in 1930 we were 1.8 million when the first World Cup took place.

Wow, a carnivore's paradise. But yeah, I was surprised that the country is so expensive in comparison with its neighbours. But then again, it is the safest country in that region, so maybe there is a direct correlation with that. Good video again :)

Many good things about Uruguay! One quality often mentions is, in popular English slang, "laid back", meaning lain back or at ease or unhurried. When applied to bureaucrats, the civil servants who are paid to process government forms, interview citizens, residents, and immigrants to a country, it is not a quality I would wish to encounter. To have a calm demeanor that puts people at ease is fine, but to cause delays, and cause unnecessary difficulty and inconvenience is hardly a good introduction to a country or a good representation of it. The touting of that quality frequently as if it were a good international advertisement is a profound mistake.

Ok so first, Uruguay 🇺🇾 has four (4) FIFA recognized world championships. Please read up om your FIFA history. Second, you came on a Sunday, hardly anyone is walking the streets in the city. Most of us are enjoying time with our families, either eating pasta or grilling meat (parrillada, definitely not barbecue - that is an american style of cooking meat, it's understandable, since their meat is not as good as ours so they have to mask it with sauces and hit it with more cooking times). Others are hitting the seashore, not that excuse of a beach that is playa Ramirez, we have a beautiful coastline all the way up the the border with Brazil. And others are spending time in the outdoors, either camping, grilling in wonderful municipal sites, or in family owned restaurants either in farms, wineries or ranches. So yes, we have a wonderful life here under, if we want to kick it up a bit and hit more night life, we do Buenos Aires, Skiing? Southern Argentina or Chile, more beautiful beaches than ours? Brazil baby! Cheers!

You have "a good gps": Tinkal is one of the best places for Chivito, and Cabaña Verónica one of the best for parrilla. Montevideo is generally empty in summer weekends because most of the people goes to the seasides of the eastern coast (Maldonado and Rocha). Hope you can came back and see those places that are the best of this country. Hugs.

On Sundays....the people are not used to going to the church compare with other countries.....We are not a very religious country....On Sundays people usually go to the Rambla....lunch with family.....go to the fair....and other things

La lastima es que Montevideo no refleja lo que es el buen nivel de vida y prosperidad del pais. Es hermosa ciudad pero la intendencia la tiene sucia, con graffities x todos lados, basura y con poquisima frecuencia de barrido, paradas todas rotas, calles rotas, veredas rotas, etc. Lamentable como esta mantenida.
