Hi ! I guess your come from UK ! And I do not know it’s was you or someone else talking in the beginning of the video . But your accent was very nice , sweet and very pleasant to listen to !!! And I thought you are kind of sweet and cute !!! Your boy friend he is a lucky guy to have a girlfriend like you !!! Thank you fo visiting my Country and hoping that you both enjoy everything while you are there !!!👍👌👏
Vietnam is a beautiful country and the people are friendly and hospitable. We always welcome you to visit, travel and learn about the country, landscape and customs here.
Organised Chaos, Pho for Breakfast. Vietnam is the best, its mind blowing ! they are also one of the largest rice producers on earth as well textiles and if your wearing decent runners they will more than likely made in Vietnam, cant wait to go back...
I think the postcard idea is awesome in this digital age. It's romantic to have a piece of artwork and a personally hand written note sent to your loved ones from a far away place. That's like real traveller stuff and very sentimental.
Saigon is so strange! Sometimes in an alley cafe you feel as quiet as the day is coming to an end after stepping out of the alley, it's as loud as if my energy fills the cup constantly and when you leave the place Saigon etches the madness in your mind forever! I bet many people will miss that crazy vibrant Saigon. !
Ive been to Bkk, Jakarta, London, Tokyo, HK, KL, etc...Nothing is as mental as Saigon. The energy of the place is unbelieveable. Thanks for capturing some of it.
When you are crossing the road, bring back memory of my first time back in Vietnam, I left Vietnam 42 years ago, it’s scared me to death crossing the road. My wife told me, don’t run walk normal car will avoid you
Yeah I love Vietnam! It was the first country I solo travelled to in 2001, but I started in the North. Trust me save lots of time for the northern half, it is a bit less hectic but most of the country is beautiful as heck! I am not a tour type of guy but Halong Bay is the one place I would recommend it as it's a real hassle to try to arrange a boat on your own. Happy Travels Also do not argue with traffic cops just give them a small bribe. $1-5 USD is usually enough!!
Yes the thing is, there is a guy who filmed that whole trip starting at Hanoi, all the way south to TP.Ho Chi Minh and he sort of burned out at the end. He says he wants to go back, hope he spends a bit more time in the South, and less time travelling, more time talking to people 😎
Hello guys, welcome to Vietnam 🎉. I just came across your channel, but fell in love with your brilliant smiles. Can't wait to see more of your adventures in Vietnam. ❤
On almost any video about Vietnam I see so many kind welcomes from Vietnamese viewers. As someone about to go for the first time, it makes me feel even better about my trip!😊
I just found your channel and appreciate your honest, unpretentious style. I'll be there in about a month, and enjoy your perspectives. I also love the northern accents. :-)
I laughed at the end because you guys thought you were getting pho but it's actually bo kho, which is a Vietnamese beef stew that you tear off pieces of baguette to dip into the broth. You guys should do a food tour while you're there so you can become more familiar with the food and how to eat it ("Chase and Shelbs" did a great one in HCMC, Momdudy and "Flora and Note" did a great one in Hanoi, and "Steph and Pete" had an awesome guide in Hoi An).
I like that Mitch recognized how hard Asians work. It's in their blood to work extremely hard, no matter what their job is. They won't take handouts as it's considered dishonorable. That's why the society is safe generally all over southeast and east Asia - because people are very disciplined and operate for the good of the society. Also, even if people are poor, they are grateful for what they have and won't try to steal or commit crimes for more money. They would rather work hard for it. You guys have a good attitude smiling while walking through the club street too.
The whole country is full of hard working people, the amount of times me and martha have been gobsmacked when we've seen someone working early in the morning and they're still there working away late at night. Thank you for the nice comment😁
Your poor advice is what will get unwitting tourists stolen purses, stolen bags and stolen bikes. You create a false sense of security regarding Vietnam. If it's so safe and secure as you say, why do they have security guards and cameras everywhere? I'm with my Vietnamese wife in Saigon at the moment and She's constantly reminding me to be careful. I even walk around with my phone shop side, not road side to minimise the risk of it being snatched out of my hand.
@@peelypeelmeister6432 There's no comparison between the crime in Southeast Asia vs North or South America or even big cities in Europe. You should come live in Chicago, you'd be crying like a baby if you think Vietnam is dangerous in comparison. 🤣 Yes, you can get your phone snatched in Vietnam if you're careless but at least you're not getting murdered, stabbed, raped, physically assaulted etc like in London, Paris, NYC, Philly, Chicago, LA or other Western cities.
@@kayflip2233 Not ALL SE Asian countries are safe, but yes, Vietnam is pretty safe for even solo female travelers. Violent crimes are rare, and especially so towards tourists. Worst that might happen to you in Vietnam is to get stuff stolen or you'll be scammed (real scam, not price haggling stuff as that's on the tourist to learn to haggle in a country where haggling is a thing). At least you won't encounter mass shootings or serial killers there.
Great VLOG guys, Vietnam has so much history. If your into documentaries and have PBS America there is a fantastic series covering the entire war fascinating and a great watch. happy days 🙂
Thank you!! Ooh yes we’ll add that to our list, this country is so rich in history you could spend days watching/reading about it! Very interesting for sure.
Visiting the war museums and such in Vietnam will also give you the other side's perspective as only watching one side's story means it's censored or biased. Check out CularTravels video when he took a guided tour in Hue for the DMZ, it's really interesting.
Is part of the experience crossing those streets. It is also a good thing to get out of your comfort zone to live through the whole chaotic world of Vietnam.
Thankyou... I have been quite sick for a few days, but I discovered you guys and have loved going through your videos. Thanks a heap from an old girl in Australia 💞💞💞
Been binging all your vids from the start and they are great. I wanted to say, you guys are just the same as me and my partner, the hols just become all about the views, food and coffee. Keep the enjoyment coming
👍weldone guys, it looks like you have done a good research where to eat and visit. The "Huỳnh Hoa Bánh Mì" shop is one of my favourite, I've got to have bánh mì at this store every time I go back to VNAM. Wish you guys have a wonderful time in Vietnam.
@@TheJammyGits You should eat at the 3 or so popular ones in Hoi An and Banh Mi 25 in Hanoi and compare...but order similar ingredients one to keep it fair. :)
A Vietnamese parent at my nursery told us it’s polite to slurp, it means you’re appreciating the flavours 🥰 Also Mar did you feel like you were back in H&D 😂
Well, then they are wrong. Some people here slurp, most people don't, some people don't mind if you slurp but absolutely no one appreciates it. It is rude matter of fact.
As a Vietnamese, my parents do slurp but I and my grandparents don’t. My grand parents were born in the early of 1900’s during the French colonial period and when the monarchy was still there. Elder folks and youngsters don’t usually slurp, only boomers do
Absolutely loved this video , you are both always smiling … maybe not so much in the next one though after seeing the preview and the weather … loving watching you both 😘😘😘😘
In VN, people can turn right when it red light. Be careful next time when you cross the street (even in red light). If you done nail in Tet holiday, the price will be x2, x3 for the service. Most of the nail shops will charge higher in Tet Holiday because of high demand
Thank you. This was before Tet and we think the reviews were wrong because they gave a discount to customers if they put a google review. It was still a lovely experience though and i love my nails!
@@nocancelcultureaccepted9316 Agreed. Cons: Unorganized, sometimes chaotic, a little bit air-polluted, crazy traffic. Sometimes unsafe due to thefs. Pay-yourself healthcare and school. Pros: Not-high tax. Awesome cuisine, top-one "cafe sua da". Cheap food and housing compared to developed countries. Seafood, vegetables, and fruits almost everywhere. Lots of beautiful beaches. Sunshine 100% throughout the year, no need vitamin D pills. If you have a job with good salary, you'll have a comfortable life. I've been to a lot of countries and still think no country can beat Vietnam in terms of cuisine. Only Chinese probably can with a long history.
Foreigners come to Vietnam to eat banh mi like: this is the most famous one, that one has a lot of good feedback, that one has a lot of video reviews, blah blah... Me, after 9x9 81 tries in many years, I got my choice that I really like. And that's also the tip that I always share with my friends: Don't listen, don't read. Try a dish from many places because it will surely taste different. Keep trying until you find something you really like, you'll be surprised. Vietnam has 64 ethnicities, so don't be surprised if the same dish looks slightly different in a different place.
Cool video, the tip for crossing the road anywhere in Vietnam is keeping your pace, be slow and steady, more likely to be predictable towards the motorbike drivers so they can drive around and avoid u. Also just keep an eye on cars coming at you since cars aren't as flexible as motorbikes
@@michaeldog3459 Scammed is when you get something other than you agreed upon. If they overpaid for something, then it's not a scam as you were fine or agreed upon a price. If you shop on Amazon and they carry the same product but it has different prices and you chose the most expensive one, were you scammed? If you buy something from Target online and saw it for cheaper at Walmart, were you scammed? In the US where the norm is to display a price, car salesman use the same tactic as in Vietnam, but at least Vietnam has been a haggling country for hundreds of years...
Thank you! Haha 😂😂 not going to lie, would love a chippy though! Potatoes aren’t that common to find here in Vietnam😂 but the food here is like nothing else😍🇻🇳
Im so glad i found your channel. Such goodvibes and super enjoyable to watch. Hoping for lots of Vietnam videoes, u guys get lots of love from your Vietnam videoes, hope some of them hit 100k views! Keep up the good work! I will be watching all your motorbike videoes on my next night shift later today hehe =)
Các bạn nên tìm hiểu các Tour đi tự do thay vì Tour truyền thống. SaiGon còn rất rất nhiều nơi thú vị thay vì những nơi này lập đi lập lại với du khách. Love you
Was in ho chi minh November 2022 . Traffic was horrendous . At one point an elderly lady approximately 90 years old assisted me & my wife across the road . Lovely Indian restaurant near our hotel . Shri natraj Indian cuisine absolutely. Amazing . Safe journeys
fun fact nobody give a credit to Vietnam. All the place that's you mention on the video actually buy the raw coffee from Vietnam or plant here and remake it to the fancy brand of coffee. That' why you can see the strong coffee in Vietnam because it's almost raw material with cheap price.
Loving you videos, will be going through them bit by bit whilst researching our summer trip to Vietnam. We're also van people so I will be going through the rest of your stuff no I've discovered your channel.
nice video, thanks for sharing. I don't think they have hostesses and instead, they have guys standing there advertising their bars. This is normal but I can see why it may perceive to be pushy. And yes, it's very normal to slurp Pho or noodle entrees there. lol The entree with the beef and carrots, that you ate with bread is called bo kho, it's a beef stew, which is different than Pho. It's one of my favs
took a while to figure out how to cross without getting hit..as long they kept honking that mean you are safe to cross even the traffic never stop at red light 😆.. crazy but pure life experience.. Vietnam
I know, that's why we said it was poor on our behalf for paying for the cheapest accommodation we could find. We love Bangkok, but just chose poorly for accommodation, but we've learnt our lesson!
