I'm so grateful for this review. I was looking at the Apidura bags but this looks so much better. I know you posted this a long time ago, however, if you read this could you kindly tell me if it's been waterproof and held up well generally. Thank you. JP
Hey - also have a Kona Rove, and the doubledecker frame bag with the lacing as opposed to the straps. Have you been able to use the frame bag and the top tube bag together? I have a revelate designs gas tank, but because of the lacing, I am unable to velcro the strap. Was curious if the Rogue Panda top tube bag was designed to fit regardless of the starp/lacing. Great review, FYI
Patrick McKennan hey Patrick yes I can run both together it is a little difficult to get the top tube bag super tight but it works. Check out my q and a video i did before this with the rogue panda bags and i have some footy of both of them together! Cheers!
That's a nice bag. I love Rogue Panda products. Any particular reason you chose the cord lace attachment on the top tube, as opposed to the standard velcro?
mostly aesthetic really I prefer the uniform pattern of the lace vs patches of velcro over the top tube. either one is good thought just personal preference. I think if you are looking for something with quick on and off the bike then velcro is def the way to go!
Hey, so - as far as commuting goes... what kind of laptop do you have, and how well does it fit in the bag? Does it feel secure/safe? (It's possible you're not planning on putting a computer in there, I'm not sure you said that in the video)
So I have tried to fit my laptop but I have a 15Inch mbp It does not fit :( but I dont take my laptop to work as I have one there. I think a 13 inch laptop would fit though at least on this frame size.
Excellent videos on this bag. Only video I could find showing that the Double Decker has a velcro divider to open it up into 1 large compartment if needed!
Almost finished all of the videos on your channel! Super inspired to go bike-packing and continue getting more involved with my bike! Would you happen to be seeking the SOS sweatshirt you’re wearing? It’d totally be cool to have the large logo with the spokes and full name on a back of a sweatshirt!
Hi Hannah ! thanks for the support! the swirtshirt I have is a one off. I am waiting a little bit to create a potential merch item (shirt or sweatshirt) for the channel. I will make it known in a video as soon as they are available. thanks
Thanks , great review. I understand why you took the double decker, although it is expensive, it looks great on your bike, and looks like it will last a long time. Cheers.
I'm new to cycling and I'm finding my small bags catch a lot of broad side wind. looks like this bag turns your bike into a sail. i couldn't care less though. this bag is beautiful
I just got a rogue panda double decker bag a month ago and so far I'm digging it. A lot. I wish that the side pocket extended a little further down so it could hold a cutting board. And more reflective crap. And a little hole for a hydration hose from the lower pocket. Other than that I'm having trouble thinking of how to improve it. I'm planning on getting more for other bikes in my stable.
i just discovered Rogue Panda over weekend by accident. their office is close to where i live, probably dove by dozens of times not even knowing a company like this existed . thanks for the review
Hi there! Currentyl trying out different sticker companies to see which ones come out best! will for sure let you know when they are available to the masses! cheers!
Nice bag! For your future review of it I'm curious of how well it holds up in different types of weather. I didn't know about this bag before I saw this video, and now I'm definitely considering buying one. However - I would be using it for touring so that might include a bit of cycling in the rain. Any first hand experience you get of that - make sure to include it in the review! Cheers!
Hi Alex thanks for the feedback, I certainly thought about its "weatherproofness" for the first impressions and decided to hold off on any thoughts regarding that as I've had bags that say they are and then are not or bags that say they are not but do quite a good job. I will be sure to include my thoughts on it in my final review! cheers!
@@JoshRomeroYT thanks a lot for the review, very helpful as always! I'm also considering to buy one of these and was asking myself the same question about the "weatherproofness". Is there already any interim thoughts you could share? If not yet, I'm happily looking forward to the final review :) Cheers!
