Check out the Merch Store: growling-sidewinder.creator-spring.com Thanks for watching guys, hope you enjoyed the video. Getting a little deeper and deeper into the world of SEAD and trying to increase the complexities of the missions. If you have any other suggestions for videos, drop them in the comment section and maybe you'll see a video on it in the future, thanks for watching guys, Much Love.
Hey GS, love your content. Just wanted to suggest a video of Su-30 MKI and Rafale Vs J-11B and J-20B or J-16. Or maybe a Su-30 MKI Vs Rafale engagement.
Hey GS, love your content. Just wanted to suggest a video of Su-30 MKI and Rafale Vs J-10C and J-11B or J-16. Or maybe a Su-30 MKI Vs Rafale engagement.
Hey GS, great video as always. Would love to see a video of Sukhoi Su-30 MKI Vs F-15EX Eagle II I really want to see how the Indian and American fighters would compare.
@@mathewmarsico1841 please interview him on video while you still can. You have an awesome piece of history that you could share with the world. Plus if you don’t ur gay.
@@navyvet84 Jeez, yeah I can’t even imagine having to get into one of those WW2 era gliders haha. I’ve read a lot about those guys. Must’ve been some scary stuff man!
The SEAD Missions are a great change up, definitely different. It would be great to see at least one or two other players join you in a SEAD Strike. One other person can do air cover, while another one or two can do the strike.
@@Kingjoffyjofa It's how the F-4 Phantom has always been described. Looks like it was caught in the hangar doors as they were being closed AND the frontal area of a hangar door. Those J79's were no joke!
These missions are so much more fun to watch. Dogfights are cool, but people aren't sent into the wild blue yonder to dogfight- there's a mission that has to be done. Phenomenal content. 10/10
FILO...First In,Last Out! You been showing mad love for the F-16 lately...and that makes me insanely happy! Such a beautiful machine..You cleaned house with that Viper....All Hail the Poisonous Snake! Great Combat and awareness as always GS, Keep killing it as always! You will forever be always my favorite toober and DCS Pilot! Cheers brother thanks for another amazing one!!!
Love it when a plan comes together. I still remember my first time seeing 4 F-16 weasels taxying for departure. Got a great picture of them, one behind the other coming down the taxi way. All with inert HARMs loaded up. So cool.
Hey Growling Sidewinder! Thank you for the videos you made. You thought me so many thing and you made me a better pilot. I watch all of your videos and would like to see F-22 vs I-16. The I-16 was a very good plane and fought well and hard. I would love to see this fight! Thanks!
Do airbases tend to have CAPs regularly in the air like a carrier would? Just wondering if anything would change if some of the opposing aircraft started in the air.
Depends on the situation obviously but most nations have some degree of integrated air defence where fighters would be vectored to any air to air threat.
What's enjoyable about these SEAD videos it's like watching a F15 pilot who has mastered air to air has been transferred to the F16 and now has to learn the dozen other missions a F16 pilot needs to know how to do.
Been absolutely loving the new content lately (as always lol)! Do you think you'll do more mission focused content? Ive been really enjoying watching that from other youtubers and would love to see it from you as well :)
These missions are pretty awesome I really like when you show the impact of the bombs from the ground the explosions and the sounds are pretty cool I know you didn’t show it like that in this video I’m just sayin I like when you do tho
Your videos are always so fun! Last flight Sims, I played was Chuck Yeagers Air Combat, and Dog Fight! The stuff now looks as close to real life without being there. Incredible.
Could you make a video explaining all the tones and warning sounds of the F-16? I still can't find out what the constant quick phase zirping sound means which usually comes after the warning "counter".
Nice but I would like to see some old fashion sead's mission with tomcat, f1 or a4 or even from the red side with mig21 for example. Great to see you mastering everything ! Just keep up !
Great to see a more realistic theater from GS. Hope to see a lot more. Just a question of ignorance. Why is F16 assigned the wild weasel job after the F4s?
The tempo is so incredibly high that the wild weasel workload (in the cockpit) is insane. I’d love to learn the Viper but have my hands very full with the Hornet at only ~50hrs! What impresses me most with GS is his SA. It’s hard to learn in any case, but when you’re also learning aircraft performance and systems at the same time… 🤯
Yaaas! GS video! You should pick random viewers for 2v1 dogfights, or other asymmetrical engagements. Obviously I would like to feature, but I'd be thrilled just to watch other players take you on. You're a dang heckin' good pilot, and I want to see how randos stack up.
Very nice. DCS SEAD/DEAD missions are different from high altitude Fighter Sweep as you often have simultaneous fights of air-to-surface as well as air-to-air all the while trying not to hit the big green ball in low maneuvering. Personally they are much more enjoyable that pure air-to-air missions. Thanks for the entertaining video.
these are really cool videos...I really loved the whole you're the bait and then others take care of the job, would be cool to see a reversal of that and also I loved the end with you joining the F15s. This joint mission type of video was awesome!
You should definitely check out the F-16 SEAD episode of the fighter pilot podcast. He explains the mission profile really well and has some incredible stories to tell.
Now we need to see this done with a Hornet. It'd be sweet to see it done with a Super Hornet or Lightning, but I know those are mods and don't know the realism it brings to the table. It would be really awesome if dcs had some Growlers. Did you know that the Navy is/was wanting to get rid of a lot of their Growlers? So much so that Congress stepped in and said "No". There was also talks of the Air Force using those said Growlers if that would happen. Love the daily content! I know it's difficult to do, but I appreciate it. Most exciting 15ish minutes of my day. So I'm one who enjoys the longer content.
They probably want to get rid of the Growlers in order to implement either some other, more advanced Growler-type or more F-35s, which do the Growlers' job better than the Growlers.
GS have you read "Viper Pilot" by Dan Harmon? I strongly recommend it, especially now you're getting into weaseling. Absolutely gripping true life stories of a fighter pilot who did it all from Desert Storm onwards. If you haven't read it I guarantee you won't be able to put it down.
When would you decide if you needed to drop tanks? Is that situational or did you want the tanks for range and loiter time? Also, how many different airframes could do SEAD? Is any aircraft capable of it or are there certain platforms that are built for it?
Something we're looking to try with our group (ANZUS) is having an F-16 with HTS pod give the LAT/LON of SAM sites, while our Viggens engage with BK-90 or other munitions. (For the Vipers, if you lock onto an emitter on your HTS page and TMS-Left, if should give you the LAT/LON for that emitter on the DED.)
SUPER SWEET! Keep 'em comin! Maybe an "Escaping enemy territory" in various e.g., F-15, F-18, F-22, SU-57, et al. I really enjoy all your dogfight videos, but adding air-to-ground content is a HUGE WIN for me! Just subbed up. Great work, buddy. o7
