Sadly Sergei couldn't save this young man from his situation. It must be hard on Sergei...we hope he doesn't get bitter and has good boundaries. What Sergei does is very hard and has a high burnout rate. Sergei sees more need than he can fill in his lifetime....that's the hard part.

This is a great idea to really help him. The children will get to know him and love him. They will be a new family for him. The man who runs the orphanage is a wonderful role model for him, and doing a hard days work for real pay at the end of it, not to mention seeing the actual fruits of his labors can’t be overstated. It makes us feel worthwhile. I hope when he gets another job and earns more money he will not forget these children.

I think a lot of people here feel the same way as you do about Lesha (I know I do). All the stories are full of humanity. It's Amazing how Sergei connected those two needs of Lesha and the Orphanage. I especiallyove how you spend time with people along with the money. Repeated handouts to adults tend to create dependents. What you are doing gives dignity,confidence, and self-worth. That philosophy has made a huge impact in our family for generations. Hopefully it will start a good chain reaction there too.

Agree, Lesha hopefully is aware that any funds he earns doesn't end up in the hands of the irresponsible.. Lesha is looking gaunt and pale from a poor diet, just hope that soon he will be able to move to a better and secure living arrangement. 🙏

I am so happy to see this update. I've been worried about Lesha since I saw the last video because I also grew up in a poor, dysfunctional family and know how hard it is to overcome. He's taking the opportunity that you've provided very seriously, which is a good thing. I don't think he's experienced someone caring about his welfare before. Hugs from Texas to you both.

This is a great idea, helping the orphanage at the same time as helping the young lad. He will also learn some trade to help with his own home as well as a future career. Maybe he will even become a builder rather than going in the military which he said he would before. Make something of his life.

I've said it before and I'll say it again , Sergei you're a damn good man . I like how Sergei doesn't treat Leshka only as a charity case and I can see he truly cares for this boy and wants Leshka to know he's loved . What a brilliant idea and excellent way to kill 2 birds with one stone . I believe this will be excellent for Leshka as he can earn money he so desperately needs and also give him a sense of responsibility and self worth while helping the orphanage also. I hope Leshka can get away from his dreadful parents as I'm scared they'll just rob him of any money he makes . My wish is that all children be lucky enuff to find a selfless big brother like Leshka has found in Sergei

My husband was adopted from an orphanage in Stavropol, Russia when he was 8. He had nothing of his own when he left the orphanage. Thank you for your generosity. The smiles on these children's faces was such a blessing to see.

Its great that you've given him gifts and assistance, but what he can gain from learning a trade, feeling the pride from doing a good job, seeing how he can help others, feeling appreciated & acknowledged. I'm sure he felt some sadness when realizing he has to mourn the loss of his childhood with no one caring about him. But the smiles he was able to put on those faces is a reward he'll never forget.

For Europeans, Russians have the biggest yacht of them all, big houses/castles, furs, luksus cars and endless amount of money. Nothing is too expensive; they buy it all. They swim in money. Thats how we see Russians in Europe. Seeing your videos is ... stunning. It is amazing to see how little average Russians have and compared to those who travel.

The difference is stark, a huge divide among the population. So much money is removed from the economy, at least 50% returned to fix the infrastructure, mostly outside the main cities. 😳 Lifting the living standards, from many reports many are well below the poverty line.

It was truly divine intervention the day you saw lesha in the village...even though you went there to see another person whom you could not find...you was meant to be there in the right time and place to meet lesha, it is said that every thing happens for a reason.... I hope that lesha and his parents can see the opportunities you can offer him and the potential of a better life...I hope the situation in his home life with his parents dosent hold him back and they realise that they love him enough to let him go. His chance to make a break from the vicious circle of unemployment, alcoholism and extreme poverty that just follows generation after generation in these rural forgotten villages...Thankyou Sergei.

I'm literally BAWLING right now watching this. My heart is so full seeing this young man soak up the experience and seeing how eager he is to learn. Everything about this video made me cry for so many different reasons. The most tears came from/for those beautiful children, they deserve everything you're doing for them, & more. I've recently learned that the Russian soldiers are stealing TOILET BOWLS because they've never even seen one, & think they will magically work if they put them in their house... They don't even have running water to connect it to! This is all Putin & the oligarch's doing... D@mmit, why/how do/can they do this sh!t? These atrocities need to be stopped! Please! Someone! DO SOMETHING TO STOP PUTIN & THE OLIGARCHS! Hell, put a damn price on their heads already! I KNOW there are some hitman's out there with the expertise to be successful to do such!
