What songs have helped you through the grieving process? "I want to suggest THE LEGION come up with songs which would help people grieve the loss of a loved one. I recently came across such a song and it helped me tremendously. I don't want my song suggestion be the song Daniel reacts to, rather have Daniel pick a song from those suggested by replying to my comment. My vision is that the song which Daniel reacts to will create a living video file where we can send loved ones to in order to find songs which will help through the grieving process. The song which helped my grieving process is Million Miles by Angelina Jordan." -Andy

My suggestion is probably not one you would associate with grief, but it is one I find comfort in. It has already been reacted to, and I would gladly see it added to such a playlist. "Like the time I ran away And turned around And you were standing close to me Like the time I ran away And turned around And you were standing close to me..." ~Awaken by Yes

At my age not only have I lost many loved ones but it seems that losing loved ones is happening all the more often. I associate different songs with different peoples. My father died when I was 15. Nothing could have prepared me for that. He was my rock. The song I found solace in was Carly Simon's 'Embrace Me You Child.' Your theme was on my mind this morning. My brother John died on Christmas day two years ago. One of his favourite Christmas songs was 'The Fairytale of New York.' This morning RU-vid offered me this version by Chris Thile & Aoife O'Donovan. What a lovely offering. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-780pxLrwS-0.html

Hello and I enjoy the time you are giving to this song. Angelina wrote it about her grandpa who had passed away but she also wanted to write it so people who have found themselves in a similar situation could get comfort from her song. When you heard her voice two things happened right away. The tone of her voice with a ton soulfulness in it startled you and then you softly suggested you were about ready to cry. Your heart recognized Angelina and immediately started sending signals to the rest of your body about how wonderful she is. You mind isn't as quick as your heart and when it was time to speak about what you just heard it took you a few seconds (or, more) to get your thoughts together. Other "signals" such as goosebumps, jaw dropping, frozen in position all come from listening to her for only a few seconds. And, once she touches your heart she will stay there forever. Your heart will not let her go. By the way, all of the reactions I mentioned have touched everyone of us. She is impossible to resist. The love in her heart is enormous and she wants to share it with everyone in the world. Read up more about the shoe story, It's remarkable. She was only 6 at the time! Years later she was being interviewed on tv and the interviewer asked Angelina if she still thought of the little girl she gave her shoes to (she was also 6). She looked straight at the interviewer and said, "I think of her everyday!"

Love your analysis. I've been listening to Angelina Jordan since she was 7 years old. What impresses me most about Angelina is the ability she has to invite you into her universe. Her ability to tell a story. Everyone talks about her technique and voice but that's just the tool. I would rather be moved than impressed but she manages both. If you think music can relieve pain and grief I would recommend you to listen to another Norwegian artist .Susanne Sundfør, her song When the lord is more than music, it is a spiritual experience but I warn you, there will be a lot of tears. Love from Norway.

So wise, so smart, so prudent for you to react next to Angelina live studio performance of that song! To listen to her first with the lyrics on the screen, and then to see how tall she is in sadness, in grace and in hope will make you react more completely to her musical creation. I am your new subscriber.

After my mom died (Nov 10, 2016), my dad collapsed six days after her funeral. (They had been happily married for sixty-six years.) The doctors gave him close to zero chance of survival. I bought this CD and I played it for him and we must've listened to that whole CD a hundred times, while he was recovering. He was *finally* coming home in January 2020 and got the coronavirus. He was in total isolation for FIVE months. Some days, all I could do was continue to tell him to fight over the phone. He beat it!!! Came home in early June and has been home ever since. He is 89 years old and my hero. This song raised us both up... grieving the loss of my mother and he, losing his immortal beloved/wife. *I lost my dog in March of 2018 and would blast this song and cry and thank her for raising me up for ten years. My first dog, ever. My baby girl, Civic. 🐶 ❤️ Until we meet again... (Both my mommy and my Civic.) 😇 🙏🏼 Thank you, Daniel. You are such a kind and gentle soul. You are loved. 💜💫✌🏼🎵 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oni0tO_HN30.html

Just like you said, the song feels very personal to her. With this one it is very obvious why it feels personal... she wrote it, and it is about her grandfather that passed away. The thing you are going to find as you go through her works is that they ALL feel like they are very personal to her. With every single song she sings, she makes it feel like she is the one that wrote it. She has a way of understanding the intended meaning of a lyric, and then she can covey the emotion of the song even better than the original artist in most cases. I can't explain it, but you will see ;)

Your 2 reactions on Angelina Jordan were awesome. You seem like a very insightful person. She has conquered many different genre’s and her vocals can be totally different from one song to another. She has one of the most if not the most versatile voices that you will ever hear. At her young age it is really mind boggling at the depth of emotion that she understands and can convey in some of her song choices. You ask....how can a ......10, 12, 13, 14 yr old be able to convey that emotion and understand the feelings? I guess that is the part of her musical genius. In this song she has done a live version in a studio which is done in black and white. She has a piano and cello accompaniment. It is really a beautiful video. I hope that you continue to follow her because you can also enjoy being part of “being there” during the time that we have a”legend” in the making that we can watch grow and we can see how all of the others will discover her as well. Some of the songs to listen to might be. I’m still holding out for you ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dv8mjCh5iiE.html Wicked Games ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5IAMF4FDfw4.html Both of these are done when she is about 10/12 yrs old and they are really really powerful.....something that an adult would be doing.

Hi Daniel. I love your reactions and in depth analysis of the songs. Angelina is a very special gift and has the ability to reach, touch, connect and heal people. She is truly amazing. Another amazing song about grieving and losing someone. Is Life without you by Stevie Ray Vaughan. He is very different to Angelina but in other way he is very similar. The ways that he can connect and transport you and heal the soul. They both feel like they are or were gifts from another world or time.

You're so young, and Angelina is very young and singing the painful loss of her grandfather. She sings of her anguish that he is gone. (Don't get confused with the wide world of public opinions - stand your ground and finish growing strong. You're very young to take on such a venture.) Appreciate her art.

Thank you for another thoughtful response. This song has comforted me every one of the many times I've listened, for the grief I carry from losing my younger brother to cancer four years ago. From the morning he died, I felt he was with me in a new way. We were close, talked on the phone often, and now I have the "moon phone" that Angelina describes. I believe these moments of contact are as real as anything in life. Angelina is so gifted as a songwriter. She makes you connect with your feelings, which makes you connect with others, which means we're never alone. Please react to more Angelina! You have about 130 cover songs to catch up on! Merry Christmas.

Daniel many thanks for making my suggestion a reality. I certainly hope anyone who watches this and has a song which helped them grieve the loss of a loved one, will post a link to that song along with comments on how it helped. Millions Miles, after tearing up a number of times to other performances by Angelina, was the song which released the flood gates of pent up emotion for me, after losing 5 loved ones over the most recent 4 years. I know for sure that I am better off after releasing those emotions. Angelina Jordan is the most soulful, emotional vocalist of my 62 years and I can't imagine my life without her. Before Angelina, I had always found comfort in the huge discography of the band Spirit. My suggestion for another song to provide comfort is Farther Along by Spirit. ru-vid.com?search_query=spirit+farther+along

she was on AMERICAS GOT TALENT THE CHAMPIONS 2020. they had no idea who she was. after her audition everyone was blown away. she got the golden buzzer. after wards, the show saw her talent and abilities and wanted to sign her to a contract. the show wanted to decide what she sang and how to sing, but Angelina turned them down, SO, the show got pissed off and didnt ALLOW HER TO WIN. she finished in the top 10 but not even the top 5. Angelina said as long as there are children in the world who dont have shoes , she will always perform barefoot.

Very good reaction. Thanks! You do need to check out the live studio version as well (react or not). One of Angelina's strong points is her ability to communicate emotion. Often emotion not yet experienced by a young child. But here (and in a few other songs) we see her laying bare her soul to share the raw emotion she has experienced directly. The studio version is much stronger in this as we can watch her expression. You are so right about the complexity of the emotional message. Sorrow and comfort supported by love. You got tons of suggestions off your first reaction. Some folks want a chronological path. I'm happy wherever you go. Bohemian Rhapsody is exceptional (as are the other two America's Got Talent songs). Summertime from Norway's Got Talent is more than amazing (and the other 3 NGT songs are right up with it). Now, everything in between is on the level of or better than the original. And don't forget her other three original compositions. Shield directly addresses some of your comments about sacrifice (more her family than her). Stay the course. Awe and admiration will follow.

Great reaction! Thanks, Daniel. I don't have a belief of someone actually being there after they have died. Feeling like someone is there, though, is an emotional response that anyone can have, regardless of a belief/non-belief in a "higher power". Memories can be really evocative and bring about feelings that are almost as if the person is there with you. I think that almost anyone can probably relate to the feelings expressed in this song by Angelina. It seems much more symbolic/metaphorical than an actual belief in her grandfather really being there - "It's like he's in my tears."

Nice reaction and discussion of your thoughts on this topic of personal loss. She wrote this for her late grandpa and dedicated it to anyone who has lost a loved one. Amazing for a 14 year old to create something that can be helpful to so many who are experiencing their own loss. She has a caring, thoughtful and compassionate soul that she shares with the world through her music.

So great to see Angelina sing live again, especially with this healing song in troubled times. The artwork she and grandma did for the original release was awesome, but this magnificent video is epic! I think this will rival her other B&W from years past. I'm so happy for her successes all these years, and I think she has found a great home at Republic for her talent. Her uncle Michael deserves a lot of credit too, and of course her mother Sara for her protection and sharing her with the world. One day I'll get my greatest wish, to see her sing in person. Angie’s fans will treasure this performance forever. And to Angelina I say, thank you so, so much for all the wonderful music you have given all of us over the years, and for your humanity for others less fortunate. It’s not just your voice Angelina, you yourself truly are the “gift from the universe.”

Daniel, you asked about if atheists ever felt the presence of loved ones who had passed, I was raised a Methodist , school, church etc , but I decided at age 14 that I didn’t believe in god. I believed that I was responsible for my own actions etc, and I also felt more connected to nature.I am now 68, and I have 2 young significant persons in my life who are practicing christians , and I fully support them , as they do me . Angelina , when talking about the death of her friend ,Avicii, said that she believes ‘Love never dies, ‘and for me, I believe that the love you shared with someone is what feeling ,or sense of presence that will be with you , stay with you , and be there for you when needed and in that sense, You are not alone .To know that you were loved dearly by someone, in this case her grandfather, like you, is a powerful thing. That love never dies .

I think of Angelina as too young to form friendships with others in the industry. Avicii committed suicide 2.5 years ago at the age of 28. So she was 11 1/2-12. He was Swedish; Angelina is from Norway. However he was worked with/produced an extraordinary amount of people and so many wanted a piece of him-no doubt this pressure was very hard to handle. If Angelina really considered him a “friend,” I can imagine this tragedy must have had a profound affect on her, maybe even more so because of her beyond-her-age maturity. I would have liked to hear what she had to say about Avicii: Izzy, was it something you read or was it in an interview video? Do you remember?

Welcome back Daniel, thank you for your wonderful and careful reaction to Angelina's latest song, she is so unique, as a person and as an artist. This is a very sweet and very intense song dedicated with infinite love to the missing grandfather and to all the people who have lost someone, but it is also a song full of hope, with beautiful lyrics, especially if you think it was written by a 14 year old girl, and her voice is so incredibly "made in Angelina". She and her grandmother Mery are elements of a beautiful story of a fantastic family. ❤️ ❤️ I love the background paintings of her grandmother and Angelina, they are so "right" for her voice and her story, as Angelina's slow climb up the stairs to the moon is of infinite sweetness. This song is a beautiful and powerful portrait of her and it encompasses everything, her sensitivity, her family, her affections and her love 🤗❤️ You can see also the new live version released four days ago in B / W, I didn't think it was possible, but in a few weeks she made it even better, it's simply stunning. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3KxvwuZ7oEM.html

The phrase she uses " I wonder if you're in my dreams tonight " is very powerful to me and it's here that I lose it and the tears run because shortly after my mom passed away I honestly feel that she visited me in my dream one night and I won't go into detail but I believe that she came to prepare me for my dad's passing 5 month's later..so i lost "them both in 1994 within the span of 5 month's..my dad died 3 days before my 30th birthday and also Thanksgiving..and for those who have lost someone the Holliday's and special celebrations are the hardest to get through..but I'm very very blessed that I have 9 siblings who are there for me as I'm always for them..I also lost my husband of 20 years in 2008 and even though we we're never able to have our own children I'm blessed to be surrounded by many many niece's and nephews..I love this song that Angelina has shared with us..it doesn't hurt to be reminded that indeed " I'm never alone "..thank you for your reactions

Hi Dicon, Thank you for such a nice honest reaction & nice little break down. She wrote this shortly after her other grandpa died in Nov. 2019 (dad’s dad), she was 13. Angie wrote this shortly after his death & recorded it this year at 14. Angie & her grandma did the art for the video. Angelina said, “This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in you heart, as it comes straight from mine”. Stargate producer singer/songwriter Dakota posted on her instagram regarding the collaboration with Angie, said “This girls talent is freakin insane.” Merry Christmas! (I do hope you buy & download her single to show your support for her art & music too.) Welcome to the world of Angelina’s music. Angie takes covers & Angelinalizes them & they become new. She chooses, & does all her own arrangements ever since she was very young, even when she did “Screaming Jay Hawkins “I put a spell on you” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nwFloCPXzCs.html at age 9 Angie made her outfit from patterns of her Grandma's art work. She makes several of her outfits for shows & concerts. She also paints, plays 4 instruments & speaks & sings 4+ languages, English being her 3rd or 4th. Angie turned 14 on 1-10-20. Angie is a very kind, giving, loving, respectful, & big hearted Christian girl. She always sings barefoot when performing & she wrote a book about it at 9 called “Between Two Worlds”, others will explain this or you can look it up. Daniel that is an interesting request that was made. We lost our son 14 years to put in simple terms, adult SIDS. He was 24 years old but lived his life to the fullest. For us music was very helpful during the grieving process. As for giving a song that helped us through the grieving process there are many, but the songs are probably not the type of songs that are requested. For us it was songs that remind us of his life style and any video of Toby Keith where he smiles. Our son was blonde and had a smile similar to Toby Keith's smile. So when we miss hom or need to be uplifted we watch a Toby Keith video to bring back great memories. Love your reactions as your reactions give us so much information and insight.

This song, about the loss of her grandpa, is a Grammy worthy song of the year. As amazing as this lyric video is, the Live in studio video of her singing is is even better, IMO. Seeing her singing this brings out the emotion even more & she has turned into a beautiful, statuesque young woman that is wise beyond her years. My favorite song from my favorite artist, EVER!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3KxvwuZ7oEM.html

I am not religious, but it is not necessary to believe that lost loved ones still have some form of continued physical existence in another place. They have a place in our personal memories, in our hearts and in our subconscious dreams which gives them a continued presence in our lives. In my case my father still seems to provide me with a significant influence as an integral part of my conscience and moral compass. Edit:- I was this morning reminded of a line in the Coldplay song ‘42’ from the Viva La Vida album.’ Those who are dead are not dead They're just living in my head’ which has always struck a chord with me. As I get older sadly the community in there is growing way too quickly!

Nice to see you take a deep dive into the song, Daniel. As other have, no doubt, pointed out, Angelina wrote this song for everyone who has lost a loved one. She said she was thinking about her recently diseased grandpa when she wrote it. I've listened to the song dozens of times and it brings me to tears every time. The song is beautiful, delivered by a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice and an even more beautiful heart. I think the imagery used in the video is amazing. It's based on artwork from Angelina and her grandmother Mery Zamani, a noted Iranian artist and poet. There are a couple of things that jump out at me. First is the image of her climbing the ladder, which reminds me of her interview on Anne Lindmo's Norwegian TV show doing an interview about her book. Anne asked Angelina to read a passage from her diary that she wrote after meeting the young orphan girl and giving away her shoes. Angelina wrote in part that, "It was as if there was from earth to heaven, a staircase. I climbed up the stairs." If you haven't seen the interview, you really should watch. It is extraordinary: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--cCLDY0CSZ8.html The second is the image of the girl with her arms outstretched like she's holding the moon. It is strikingly similar to the end of the video for "Fly Me To The Moon": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jnnzbdt4_RE.html

A quote that helps me, often attributed to Churchill, is “If you’re going through hell, keep going.” Don’t stop and be consumed by grief. Keep moving forward. A music video that deals with the aftermath of violence is “Routine” by Steven Wilson. Although it is mostly depressing, it ends on a positive note. “Don’t ever let go. Try to let go.” Feel free to pause the animated video near the end to read the newspaper headline.

This is the most in depth reaction to an AJ song that I have ever listened to. The analysis of the lyrics... spot on. I throughly enjoyed it. This is the fourth original song that she has written. Suggest you react to ‘Oslo’, ‘Shield’ and ‘What is Life’. She has also sung the on three original songs which were written for her... ‘Song for A’, ‘Above the Water’ - an EDM song and ‘I’m Still Holding Out For You’, which was offered to her - she did a demo, but wouldn’t sing it again as she interpreted the song as promoting suicide. The video for this song was ‘leaked’. She rewrites many of the song she covers to make the lyrics more appropriate for a girl her age. The Amy Winehouse song, ‘Back to Black’, was rewritten on the way to the recording studio. The way she sings the song, you wouldn’t know. Rehab was another song almost completely rewritten. She is a astounding professional at such a young age. I look forward to more of your AJ reactions.🙏🙏🙏

There's one song that, I feel, is preparation for the loss of a loved one. "Roses for Mama" by C.W.McCall. Unbeatable!!! BTW, this was written by her because of the loss of her grandfather. The loss of her other grandfather she memorialized with a cover video of "You Were Always On My Mind" which would also be appropriate here in this search.

I like the part near the very end when they put the extra reverb on her voice, which connects to the space and distance imagery in the video. This vocal line is still reverberating and fading as the new, closer sounding vocal line is introduced. To me this meant that part of her is simultaneously aware of the connection with her grandfather in the background as she goes through her daily life (the new part without the reverb). I think that an atheist with these same feelings would attribute them to the fact that in this case the grandfather's DNA etc. is actually a part of her body, so she doesn't have to go to some afterlife dimension to access it. This wouldn't account for the same feelings occurring with the loss of a non blood relative, but they would probably say that they were connecting with all of the memories of that person within themselves.

I think the song should be relatable to anyone because the song doesn't really specify in literal terms how the person we have lost continues to "be there" with us. Heaven or some other spiritual destination is just one way to see that, and the moon and stars metaphor clearly hint in that direction. I'm not really a believer in heaven, at least not in a literal sense, but the people we love become a permanent part of us in more ways than one. I lost my father as a child and my mother more recently and has also for all intents and purposes lost a brother to severe mental illness. But the brother I grew up with an my parents are not only with me in my memories but they are simple a part of who I am. I hear my mother talking to me at times, I feel my brothers radiant smile fro when we were kids. I know that there are many aspects of me that either came from or were molded by my father, even though he died when I was quite young. Of course I miss them , but I don't feel alone. The song reminds me of that, and that is how it is reassuring to me. An unrelated thought. Re: being chased by labels, she was also the darling of many big names in the industry. Quincy Jones would probably being the biggest both in name and AJ fandom. When she was 12 years old he invited her to perform at the O2 in London for his 85th birthday gala. Even more, while there was a huge star-studded cast of guests who performed that night, he had Angelina Jordan open the show with a performance of Fly Me to the Moon, with a full orchestra and to the iconic arrangement he made in 1964 for Frank Sinatra and Count Basie. David Foster (not to be confused with Forster) has been a fan and has worked with her. Mark Ronson has worked with her. Steven Van Zandt (the Boss's old guitarist) gave her a singing cameo in his Netflix Series, Lilihammer when she was 8 years old. She was a personal friend of Aviici and recorded a tribute cover of Wake Me Up (on her cover channel) when she passed away. Alan Walker had her perform Faded and Sing Me to Sleep at a big coming home concert he had in Bergen. EDM band TRXD had her do the vocals for their song "Above the Water", which is available on iTunes, Spotify, etc. The list goes on. So, while it hasn't all been bad attention, it is definitely true that she has had the industry's attention for a long time and her mother and uncle/manager have indeed had to fend off some vultures along the way. Edit: I should add: that was one of the most careful, thoughtful, insightful and respectful reactions I have seen to any song on RU-vid. Thank you for doing it and I hope we see more of you in the Angelinaverse.

I think we've all had pause to reflect on loss this past year. I've lost four loved ones in the last three years and though I'm not overly religious, I found comfort, as have I'm sure many others have, in the thought that my loved ones have moved on to a better place. Two were in terrible pain, one commited suicide, and one quick with little pain. The song "Go Rest High On That Mountain" written by Vince Gill, and the duet sung by he and Patti Loveless is a beautiful tribute of love and peace to anyone suffering loss. Knowing there is a better place, free of hate and pain, for those you love helped to comfort me. Merry Chritmas to all.

Thank you for giving such a thoughtful and in depth reaction to Angelina and her song. Many of the comments below will have reference to the many covers she has done to a very wide range of songs. I wonder if you might like to get a feel for who Angelina is? You need to listen to her original songs, written from the age of 11 1. What is life ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bv0r77KN7RA.html 2. Oslo(her home town in Norway) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uxF-KiiSVoA.html 3. Shield (her mother and grandmother) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lQtUbVKb0vs.html Of course if you really need to understand the origins of this magic, you would need to read her book 'Between two Hearts' - its only available in Norwegian, but worth the effort of translating, also has the artwork that is the basis of this lyric video. It's based on her experience as a 6 year old written at the age 8/9. What I can say for sure is - never underestimate the intelligence and emotional maturity of a young child! I have subscribed in the hope that you will continue this journey and add your own valuable insight into this incredible artist.

Some very profound thoughts about Angelina and this amazing song that she wrote after losing her 2nd grandfather in two years. My only regret is that you haven’t followed her amazing growth since she won Norway’s Got Talent at age 8. She has been performing at a professional level since then, and has raised millions of dollars for multiple charities. She has been writing songs since she was 11. This song she actually wrote when she was 13. I highly recommend that you also react to the live version. The live version is black and white and her voice and the accompaniment are both mellower and moving. Beware if you start listening to her repertoire of over 130 songs on RU-vid. It’s great experience but highly addictive.

It obviously does it's job ;~) I don't have the same reaction to the 'live in studio' versions that so many others do...I grew up on radio, so I was never captured by the image of the artist. Visuals really leave us open to projection, whereas lyrics and music alone carry us directly to our own heart. "Mercy Street" by Peter Gabriel (I recommend the Official Video from Peter Gabriel's site) is a meditation on loss. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel is all about giving hope to those struggling. "Daniel" by Elton John (the meaning of which I looked up) is about a disabled veteran who is moving to a foreign country to find peace. The song is told from his brother's perspective. All worthy of consideration, I think.

The song that helped me in the moments when I was grieving for my father is "The meaning of eternity". It is performed by a young Kazakh singer Dimash Kudaibergen and was written for the needs of a Chinese children's play. She performs it in Chinese and when I first heard it I didn't understand a word but I thought: this is how angels in heaven sound and this is voice my dad is listening to now.I later found a translation and it all made sense. "On this earth that I've existed There will sprout limitless mountains and rivers In the future you will see me Using the last warmth of my body To repay the world's warmth To eternity Two years have passed since then and when I want to feel a connection with my dad I play this song, close my eyes and listen to the voice of an angel.

The song that causes me to reflect on the deceased is 'Pictures of you' by The Cure. I believe R. Smith was expressing a different thought, but for me it evokes living faces of the now dead. (BTW - There was a suggestion there that you believe that not possessing a spiritual side someone means that one feels emotions less. I would refute that totally. The fact that it is logically obvious to me that I am not going to have an afterlife, and thus enjoy any cosy jolly reunion with those who have passed on, means I really rawly feel the loss)

Perhaps “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel. It was very soothing to me when my son passed away two years ago.. I reminds me so much of him because he was such a kind and loving person who always put others first.

I saw an interview Angelina gave when promoting her book on Norwegian TV. She said that after giving her shoes to the girl on the street, she felt a door open in her heart and she saw herself climbing a ladder, at age 6 ! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--cCLDY0CSZ8.html I believe the "ladder to the stars" is also a metaphor found in multiple cultures, including the bible.

She is referring to her grand father she lost few years ago I think 🤔 the best song she’s talking about I don’t recall the title but she is crying at the end of the video to me she’s the best singer in this coming year.
