This takes me back to high school. Cream was considered an "underground" group in some quarters - which meant they were not played on AM radio. Now Clapton is very much in the mainstream, and FM radio is accessible to everyone. Wonderful song.

Daniel, you often request the songs that are off the mainstream path, and for good reason. It lets us actually hear music we may not have heard ourselves in decades. And Cream is no exception. You did "White Room" seven months ago, a megahit. Sometimes the greatest hits exist for a reason. They ARE the best songs. It's a low-hanging fruit, but I just would love to see your reaction to "Sunshine Of Your Love", just for the riff. It's in "Aqualung" territory, if not better.

This was 1967. The production, musicianship and feel of this song was “magical” back then. I was 15 and a young guitar player, who had just found something that was unique and “not the Beatles”. Everybody loved the Beatles, but I loved the underground and the alternative groups.

I was 13 in 1967 and my brother had just come back from the record store in San Jose Ca. He had bought a few 45 rpm discs that day by Jimi, Spencer Davis, J Airplane, Moby Grape and this. Back then you could sit in a booth with very cheap headphones and preview a record before buying it. Because they would only you do this with 4 heSo we sat down to listen to all of them. At the time I was listening to the usual Beatles, Stone and Monkees and all the other stuff on KLIV and KYA. This was the last one he put on. And the only one he did not explain before the needle dropped. Although all of them are favorites to this day this is the one I had to hear again. And again.....I had not taken Acid yet but this was one of the things that made me want to! And I did! Again and again..... I will play this at my brothers funeral if he gets there first. Thank you Terry

So back in the day (the 60s) Stereo records were a dollar more than its mono counterpart, so producers wanted you to be able to tell that that dollar was worth it, by wildly swinging the instruments to either ear. Sometimes purposeful, but most often a fad. That died down in the early 70s and then stereo was used to try and create how the band would sound in a typical placement on the stage with YOUR viewpoint (the listener) being the best seat in the house. Dead center a few rows back. That's called "imaging" and is probably the most important measure of good speakers (or headphones) and audio components

I used to have this album back in the late 60s, and we played all of the songs on it until we knew every lyric, and note played. We had a little "garage Band" back then, just like millions of other teens. What a time to grow up. "Tiny purple fishes, run laughing through your fingers..." Yes this was also the start of the drug culture too. Lots of LSD and other mind altering drugs. Just look at the album cover art. Most Bands had pretty similar album art on their covers. You have to love "Eric Clapton" (guitar/vocals) "Jack Bruce" (Bass/Vocals) and "Ginger Baker" (Drums). Only the great Eric Clapton is still alive. All we in their early 20s Back in 1967. The best music era ever. The 60s and 70s. Thanks
