I just got the basket version installed from you guys not to long ago. I did notice the newer version. However, decided to go with the basket version do to more functionality with front runner accessories. Thank you 🙏
First review I’ve seen on this. Only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is how to attach an awning down the side. The original one has convenient attachments to the sides. Idk if they’re gonna make something easy and quick disconnect for this slim sport.
There is an attachment coming out soon for awnings & side mounted accessories. You can also use the L bracket that comes with a lot of standard pull out awnings. 🤙
very nice design I like the slot opening for a carriage bolt but I personally prefer the adjustability of the Prinsu. On ours we have a few of the slats at different spacing's to accommodate other items.
This wasn't an install video. We installed it like any other rack which requires caulk. The instructions tell you where to put the spacers. We wanted to just show the rack
Why did you leave space between the body and the wind deflector? Also it's not easier to mount the rails first and assemble the rack on the roof of the 4Runner?
@4x3Lander thank you for the info. Where did you get the materials you used? Would you be so kind as to share your list of items that were needed to build your roof rack? I would greatly appreciate it. BTW, do you have a pic of the roof rack you built? I'm curious if you made the steel side and front plates surrounding the rack. I'm curious to see how you would put an awning if need be. Thank you so much.
Installed this on our runner and weirdly it's making a lot of tuning fork noises. What's perplexing is that it's inconsistent. It'll get louder when you drive faster but then it would also keep going at a standstill. You guys have issues with the noise at all?
I have had this rack for 3 months and just got around to installing it. I was worried about noise. I've been hearing a lot of complaints (after I purchased of course)
