How does it compare with G19? Would be good for first time buyer?

It would be an excellent gun for a first time buyer. It's very similar in size and dimensions to a Glock 19, but is significantly easier to shoot well than a Glock. The short travel and straight pull of a 2011 trigger is much more forgiving than a striker fired trigger. It is easy to run fast and accurately. I have carried and shot all kinds of guns - M&P, Shadow Systems, H&K, Langdon Tactical, Glock, etc....The Staccato is hands down the best carry gun I've ever used. You don't "need" a 2011. A bone stock Glock 19/M&P/VP9/P320 etc will serve you well. But there is no denying that a 2011 is easier to shoot and more forgiving.
