Bro, first Epic Mickey Rebrushed, then Pokemon announced Legends Z, and now the potential for a Disney Infinity remake/remaster? This has been my month for game announcements.

I am down for a Disney Infinity Remake. If it does happen, then I hope it not only retains the concept of creating our own worlds and games, but also those weekly challenges where gamers post their own toyboxes and see who gets in the top 5. It was always cool to see what others can come up with.

I hope we get a Disney infinity remaster where you can play all characters from past games and old play sets from 1.0-3.0

Even though it's beyond unfortunate that it was cancelled, the fact that this was even in the works at some point is honestly really vindicating for those of us who saw how amazing these games really were. It had so much potential (still does) and it's nice to know that at least a few of the higher ups at Disney saw the infinite possibilities of this awesome series.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but if this actually happens, I will be the happiest dude in the world. With SSKTJL being a sales disaster for Warner Bros, and David Zaslav doing everything in his power to destroy the company, I can imagine Disney buying WB Games, and getting Avalanche back.

It's a real shame it never came to be! Disney Infinity was so wholesome and fun! It had so much untapped potential to expand even more.

Man, what a month for game announcements this has been. 😂 Hopefully, if they do this right, they could make a rare Disney Infinity fandom.

So if this released, how would it work? It seems a bit overwhelming to have every single character unlocked from the start if it isn't toys to life, so how would you unlock characters? Really hope this sees the light of day.

I was talking about Infinity just last weekend! I guess news travels fast 😂 The only thing that worries me is the all-digital prospect. I'm not too sure how the game would work without the physical aspect; easily changing figures and Power Discs on the fly, switching playsets, that kind of thing.

i found a Mulan figure a few weeks ago at a small game store i visited. my first Mulan figure i had when i was younger had been missing for years so it made me happy to find another of her again

I'd be happy even with just a remaster of Disney infinity for console that has all the characters play sets, discs and unreleased content, as well as the ability to unlock all the characters in any play set for any edition. Bonus if they update the trivia that the townspeople share with you but it'd be crazy cool if they turned on servers for the online features again

Seeing these images for a potential DI reboot makes me want DI back even more. I'd happily have the game back, even without the Toys-2-Life gimmick. Plus, I would ask for the return of veteran playable characters like Donald Duck, Aladdin, Jasmine, Baloo, Quorra, and Rapunzel PLUS playable characters that we were supposed to get like Peter Pan and Moana. I would also personally ask for Darkwing Duck, Cinderella, Merlin, Ariel, Simba, Goofy, and Genie. But if that doesn't happen, I'd like to see what Disney's Epic Games/Fortnite collab offers. Maybe I'll end up liking that just as much...I still want Donald Duck to be playable in that as well.

Don't get me wrong, some of the characters look good when given more detailed models, but the Sulley & Mike and Woody figures look a bit disturbing. It's an odd mix of making something cartoony look more realistic. That's very interesting that a remake/reboot of Disney Infinity could've been the start of Disney's original plan for their metaverse. I hope Disney still takes the idea of reviving Disney Infinity in the future - if this is 100% official work assigned by Disney to Fred Pashe, then clearly Disney have not forgotten about this franchise, and want to do something with it in some way. And thank you for notifying me on the trademark status of DI. I've had the idea for a while now for a fanmade Disney Infinity 4.0, made by the community, and in the far future, that might be a possibility now. However, I'm not so sure how trademark laws work in the U.S., nor in general... but I'm guessing the trademark might be renewed again, since they already renewed the trademark in 2020, which was 4 years after the franchise was cancelled. And also taking into account Disney Infinity Gold Edition, I doubt Disney will pull that from the Steam shelves. But AHHH you got me thinking that Disney Infinity was officially returning with that title and thumbnail 😂

If this happens, I hope could be without Toy to Life use and with Century FOX characters like The Simpsons, Futurama, Avatar, Alien, Predator, Planet of the Apes, Home Alone, etc.

I feel they look a bit off somehow. I think it may be the skin shader. It doesn't look right when it's supposed to be a toy, but then has realistic skin. Some of the faces also seem slightly changed, braking the original art direction.

I hope that they keep the Toys-to-life aspect of the game. I'm not ready for them to switch to digital figures

Maybe the reboot will happen in the future and these assets will be used for it.

It blows my mind how so many great ideas get scrapped and terrible ideas make it to the finish line lol…

You know what would've been great? A remake with new versions of the "toys" that were actually toys, as in could be removed from their bases and at least slightly posed or moved. Heck, really lean into the toy thing and do stuff like... I dunno, a missile-launching gimmick on Iron Man, or karate chop action on Buzz Lightyear. Would've been neat; as it stands I'll still argue that LEGO Dimensions was the only true toys-to-life game ever made, everyone else just did figurines.

I used to have a whole bunch of Disney Infinity stuff… but then I sold all of it for… something… I don’t remember what. It was either for a game or a system. But I remember playing version 1.0 a lot on my Wii U. Fell out of it before 2.0 and 3.0 started

I’m down if it’s good, and has hype, I’m all for UNDERRATED games but to bring back a returning game u need massive fan hype behind it so while playing the game you can come off of it, see it on media and feel to get back on or even make your own video on it, also if this does well IF it comes out that is, I want game to life (The worlds best game concept of the century) to make a return like sky landers

I think these models would've been used for 4.0 instead of a reboot.

It would be nice to get a LEGO Dimensions reboot without the toys to life gimmick. Though legal rights to licensed IPs would be the one major issue that could hold them back.

I dunno, but I would absolutely love it if disney infinity returned, enjoyed the variety of the characters and the uniqueness to their movesets, but moreso enjoyed the beat em up style combat the game had to offer as that's one of my favorite kind of style games.

I already made up a fourth and final game called “Disney Infinity 4.0 Kingdom Hearts”. It was for fun creativity. But if they’re really going to make a reboot of Disney Infinity, then I’m ok with it I guess. _Plot:_ The Disney characters were having so much fun doing creativity with their new friends, the Keyblade Wielders. However, the play-sets have fallen into darkness by the power of the Organization XIII. Their goal is to create Kingdom Hearts upon the other worlds and claim the hearts and negative emotions of their own. Soon, there won’t be anywhere for the inhabitants to run and hide once the darkness completely consumes their homes. So it is up to the Keyblade Wielders and the Disney characters to put a stop to this. _Gameplay:_ *Adventure Mode* The players get to save worlds from the Organization XIII in the Adventure Mode. And it won’t be just the Organization XIII bosses that they will face; they’ll also face the Disney bosses as well. During their journey through the levels, they get to battle enemies, rescue the townspeople, be given missions, ride vehicles, and mounts, avoid traps, and search for icons, coins, weapons, and other items that are hidden. Once the bosses are defeated, then the players get coins and special prizes before unlocking levels with the key blades. The players get to visit Disney Town and Disney Castle where they get to hang out and be given missions, and the Mysterious Tower where Yen Sid provides them information and wisdom. *Game Activities* The players get to have fun playing game activities, and they will unlock the items, cast members, vehicles, critters, etc. when they have completed them. They’ll get bronze medals in third place, silver medals in second place, and golden medals in first place. Some of the game activities provide timers for the players to finish up their work before time runs out. Only the hands and tools can be seen onscreen as the players control them. The game activities also provide multiplayer so that they can help or compete with each other. *Game Missions* The players must save the world from the devastating attacks of the main antagonists. During their adventures, they’ll uncover special items, coins, etc. that are hidden among the areas. The players will only play as the characters that are part of their worlds. Once every mission is finished, they’ll not only receive medals and coins, but they will also receive items, cast members, vehicles, critters, etc. as special prizes. The missions also provide multiplayer so that they can help each other. *Pets* The players get to summon pets so they can play with them, or when they need some assistance in battles. However, the little critters will attack their owners if they attack them. You get to play fetch with them, pet them, have them do some fun tricks, etc. Although some of the pets can talk in TV shows and movies, they’re incapable of speaking in the game. They sometimes wander off when’s there nothing else to do, but they’ll charge right back to their owners when they’re called. *Stage Shows* The players get to have fun playing the musical and entertaining events on stage. They must follow the falling arrows pointing in different directions when they’re playing the harmonious shows, and they must follow the other instructions onscreen when they’re playing the circus. They’ll get one star for not doing good jobs, two stars for almost doing great, and three stars for doing awesome jobs. After each event is completed, the players will unlock the items, cast members, vehicles, critters, etc. The players get to watch the characters perform without playing after completing the events, but they can play again if they want to.

Yes PLEASE!!! Hope they make sliding and balancing on rails involve a bit of skill with the thumb stick to maintain your balance ;-)

I sure hope this really happens. I love Disney infinity and a reboot sure would be fun to play on modern consoles. But if that doesn't happen, then that's okay. I'm excited for the new ultimate Disney crossover game I hope to be good like Disney Infinity itself. I'm sure these new Disney games that are mentioned are sure to be super fun. And I love a good Disney crossover.
