Join Dawn as she gets a quick demo on Halo Flashpoint from Mantic Games. How will she do? See if she can defeat Andy and take command of the battlefield.
Deadzone ruleset on a fantastic and fun license with really great looking cardstock terrain? sign me up! (just hoping the models arent the soft bendy plastic)
Spartan edition comes with Elites, my guess is they're expanding with more types of team / factions as it goes (long as it doesn't get canned like Star wars Shatterpoint)
Andy can you confirm if an Assault action is a Long Action like in DZ or it will be changed to a Short Action in Halo? I noted that the Charge bonus is +2 dice instead of just +1 dice like in DZ. Thx!
Hey there. Assault is still a long action. I just had a bit of a fried brain from a few long days and misspoke. You do however get a 2 dice bonus for moving into assault rather than 1 dice like Deadzone.
It seems like an odd decision to me to make a spartan on spartan game. Presumably marines, covenant and the flood are coming but why wouldn’t you put a more interesting faction in your starter box?
It looks like more of a death match game than a campaign mission, so it would be PvP just like the game. The Spartan edition come with a team of elites from the Banished that you can field also. But I agree, a squad of ODST would be really fun to have too.
I spoke with them at Adepticon, and they spoke about how they wanted it to feel like multiplayer in a Halo game which is why I believe they started with spartan on spartan. They also said they have things in the works as they will have the license for a minimum of 5 years. They wouldn't tell me what they were planning unfortunately.
Ill definetly be making the weapons on the cards (gravity hammer ect) and magnetizing them. See the actual weapon on the model when he picks it up would be cool!
Good thing about basing this on their existing rule set is that it will be easy to adapt from the PvP mode at launch into Deadzone or Firefight modes. Also means they don’t have to drop lots more product at launch but can roll things out at a pace that’s easier on the wallet
@@rononel8046 Im not going to be impressed till they get hunters grunts and jackals. If this game can't even match the standard of halo clix then its not worth the plastic its made of.
So, a tabletop version of the garbage halo infinite. This is just sad, I wish Spartan games was still around. Halo Fleet Battles and Halo Ground Command were 10x better games, that gave you full battles. Not the crappy 4v4 pvp experience
Perhaps you have a weapon that is not in range and some of your team is the far side of the board and about to get ganged up on as an example. I'm sure there's more that will become apparent in time but an interesting question nonetheless.
Seems like spartans can take a lot of damage before going down, if you don't pick up stronger weapons or try and fight in melee you won't be able to finish anyone off before their shields come back.
