Same here just swapped my stock radio with the touchscreen one out of a totaled 15 90 percent plug and play just needed a new connector for the phone controls and get the harness for the hdmi and extra usb and the center tray so I could mount the holder for the usb hdmi port you need to but I like it to look factory and clean gonna relocate the aux port that came in the 13 but I never really used it so we’ll see
you again! i have the same color and car also i love it havent stalled since the first day i bought it. i also have 500 miles on mine is it safe to test its limits yet you think?
also on eannoying thing about this car, only has 1 power outlet. i have a gps and radar detector i use for long trips and now cant use both at the same time
All you have to do is press "menu" button near the volume and channel controls on the left hand of the steering wheel. Once you access the menu use the volume channel controls to navigate down to the "Auto Door Unlock" menu and select that. There will be the option to unlock all doors. Etc.
I paid just over 22k. I work for a different location of that same dealership chain, so I pretty much said "Give me the Grossinger employee price" and thats what I got. Personally, I would totally go for the Si over the BRZ becuase its WAY more comfortable and is just much better for a daily driver.
Should of bought a 8th gen! But if you drive this like an old man there's no point to have any si just get a base model si's like the rev limiter it's where they make peak hp
I drove the 8th gen a little before buying this one, and in some respects, I liked it better, but I think the 9th gen is a more comfortable daily driver and I like the standard features a lot more.
The ride quality isn't what I would call smooth, but its really not as bad as I was expecting, and once you get out on the highway, it is pretty settled. The tire noise is pretty bad, but other than that, the car is fairly quiet on the highway. I think some better tires would make a noticeable difference in this car.
I want to like this car but it keeps getting uglier with every refresh! What is wrong with Honda designers??? Maybe you should have gotten a 2014 Mazda 3...a thing of beauty!
Thanks for replying, I like the way the interior on the Mazda 3 S touring and I Grand Touring is setup. How are your seats holding up , I know it's fairly new but how are the seats ( build quality) ? How about the seating with gathering dirt ? I like technology , I Think Mazda has that over the Honda. The online videos from car reviewers are all picking the Mazda 3 over the Honda. Decisions, decisions! Let me know anymore if your experiences with your Honda si ! Thank you
It has cloth. Unfortunately, the Si doesn't come with leather from the factory, and Im not going to spend $3000 fr aftermarket leather lol. And now that Ive had the car for a while, I love it! I enjoy it more and more each day. Its such a superb car, in every way! It's actually turned my girlfriend onto Hondas too lol, so when it's time to get rid of her Beetle, we're going to be looking for a Fit for her. :)
Thanks for getting back to me. How is the Honda Link system you have, it came without the Nav package ? Also how does your car compare to a 2014 / 2015Mazda 3 s touring ( any thoughts because I'm torn between the 2 cars ( deciding which one to get )
The touch screen audio system is alright. I mean, for a touch screen system, I really like it, but I would much rather have a traditional-style radio with actual buttons and knobs. As far as a comparison to the Mazda 3, that's a good question. I test drove a couple Mazda 3s and a CX-5 before deciding on the Civic. I really did like the CX-5, but the base model (only way to get a stick shift) didn't have the features I wanted, and the Mazda 3 was a great car with an amazing design and attention to detail. But the Civic just drives like a more solidly built car, and that was that main deciding factor for me. Also, Im more familiar with Hondas and I know it will last a really long time.
Hey man isee ur plates.. im from illinois too got same car actually this is my second 9th gen si ihad 2012 coupe si and now ihave 2015 civic si isee that thers alot of haters on our 9th gen , have u done any mods yet??
Hey I'm about to get a Civic myself I was wondering have you ever drove the 2012 and how do you feel they compare. Also is it hard to get up Hills I'm speaking of the basic btw not the SI so I know that's different, but I was just wondering. Also do you think this engine will be ok in the future I'm quite worried about them slowing up a bit.
I have worked for Honda since 2007. The 2012 Civic line was supposed to be the birth of the new generation but it did not meet Honda's requirements. Ride was a bit on the rough side and the cabin a tad noisy. The panels on the dashboard felt a little on the chintzy side. So Honda immediately corrected themselves with the following year Civic in 2013. For 14 they made it even better. I am sure you noticed the obvious difference in body style. Features new to 14 model are 18" alloy wheels (17" on 12) "More aggressive" if you will, spoiler. Keyless start system . (Push to start) 7" color information display with highly responsive touch controls. Connects to your iphone via bluetooth hdmi and integrates lots of stuff from email, weather, Facebook., and phone contacts. In dept Trip Computer. Also,Honda's LaneWatch system which is basically a camera on the passenger side mirror that projects the image on the 7" information display. Needless to say the backup camera is also included. (not on 12) You will noticed the interior to have 2 tone seats and a touch of carbon fiber panels. And of course, your engine. Both 2.4liters.The 2014 delivers 205 horsepower and 174 lbs torque. (2012 delivers 201 horsepower, 170 lbs torque) The layout of the exhaust was changed, the suspension was improved, and dampening has been added for a nice quiet and smooth ride. HILLS WILL NOT BE A PROBLEM. Do not doubt Honda's engines. They produce the most engines in the world. From cars, motorcycles, boats, jets, farm equipment, to solar paneled roofs. They know what they are doing by now. The Civic was introduced in 1973 and has set a proud mark for the compact segment of cars in America. 75% of Hondas are the still on the road 30 years later. My first car was a 1993 civic that I purchased with 123k and drove till 200 and then sold it for good money. It sparked my love for Honda. And just about 2 months ago I purchased the 14si . I have not made a better choice ever. Good Luck!
Ah I thank you for the long comment I'm purchasing one next month I'm pretty happy about that. I know everything you posted except the farm vehicles part pretty cool in researched Honda and I'm definitely willing to give them my money. It's a 2012 for me I got a very good deal 31,000 miles for $9000. I'm fine with how it drives and the road feel is great im just worried about me reving the engine since it's a 4Cylinder.
Alex C Why must Honda continue with the ugly body style? It looks so plasticy and downright ugly imo! Mazda 3's look so good in comparison....otherwise a great engine and shifter.
buildmorefarms100 Different strokes for different folks. I understand Honda has taken a far different approach on the body style, more aggressive and sculpted. I have not had any complaints on any of the body styles here at the dealership in over 7 years.Honda's true formula lies in how the vehicle drives, performs, and maintains over the years. If you do not like the body style, then go ahead and get a Mazda! Those are fun too. Best of luck.
honda transmission is weak i have 2012 honda si throw out bearing fcked up only 18,000 miles when i bought it i didn't know it was fucked up i just found out after 2 days driving it when fully warm up
what do u mean din't handle well? i bought the car with fcked up throw out bearing most of si model throw out bearing suks like you cant handle the power of engine chek youtube dum ass 2012 or 2013 honda civic si first gear noise and dont argue with me if your not a professional mech..
Rey Buendia I couldn't argue with you no matter what department I work at. I can't understand what the hell you are writing. Stay in school kid. Get back to me when you graduate.
Car is still a disappointment. This coming from and 8th Gen owner. Will never get a Si again until they get it right the car by now should have more power and better design. Car is Blah
