I will be watching your channel for any updates on pyscript since it's in the early development stages... I like your real life examples ... I know a lot of python but little of html and almost nothing of css and js .... with pyscript I can focus on html and css and forget about js since I won't need it (hopefully) after pyscript becomes fully functional!!

WebAssembly was the thing we needed. Great to see how it evolved. PyScript looks really cool

please can you add a tutorial about Django channels Because you are the only one who explained it well and was able to learn it from you (please no chat app because there are a lot of videos on youtube we need something different)

This could be useful for creating demo apps for data science project written in Python. Other than that I cant see why I would choose this over Javascript. Will be interesting to see what happens next

For the moment, there is probably no reasons to choose pyscript over js since it is a very early alpha project. However, js is kind of a bad language compared to python in terms of specifications and standard library. Having more capable languages in the browser (like python, rust, go ...) seems to me like a great opportunity to make web dev ecosystem better

What difference with python eel?

Eel is more for creating things to be run offline. It's similar to Electron. PyScript is just trying to replace JavaScript in the browser.

I don"t really see the point of this. Just a hype for maybe Python fanboys to enjoy coding frontend. It's still using JavaScript to interpret the Python code anyway, it's like jQuery but using Python as the language. I would say, it's not gonna replace native JS as most people around the internet are claiming.

Python will get translated into JavaScript, performance wise it doesn't make sense, what we need to punch JavaScript to the face is WASM I guess

Python would be slow. By the time it catches up to javascript, a new language would be out

A better implementation in Wasm may make things faster eventually, but ultimately the speed of JavaScript comes from it being the only browser language over the years and getting a ton of optimizations. Python would need to go through a similar process which seems unlikely.
