In this video I look at Spectra Pro. Spectra is the Gutenberg plugin from the makers of the Astra theme and the pro version is just now being released. There is a walk-through using Spectra Pro in the Full Site Editor and a discussion of how Spectra and Spectra Pro is being positioned, as well as its strengths and weaknesses.

Great video. I am just starting with Spectra Pro. Learn a lot, thanks. At 17:58 You say you can add a custom field inline. How can i do that ?

I think you type your text and use the database icon on the contextual toolbar to add a custom field into the text where you want it.

I'm elated to see this from you! I found this content so exciting and at the same time your voice so is so darn soothing. Love the combination. I have Astra Pro Agency LTD but had moved on to GenPress. If Brainstorm honors the past purchase.... I'll immediately change my WP stack. Not something I do lightly. Anyway - thx again David. They've said multiple times it will be included in the Growth Bundle. I too am glad to see that are honoring the promise of including new products.

I'm planning to add the following content in the Loop: - Featured Image - Star Rating Block Will it display my individual star rating from each post just as it displays the Featured Image from each post? Will I be able to turn Spectra's Star Rating Block into Featured Star Rating Block or Custom Field? I'm thinking about upgrading but am not sure if it fits my use case.

I just checked and the rating is not a dynamic field. I think it would need to be one in order for it to work in the loop.

For example we created a demo dynamic page. I want to show this page in all posts after the title. How can i do this? So i read WP ASTRA THEME 'Custom Layout - Hooks' topic on the offical site. I think we need to create demo dynamic pages in 'Dashboard > Astra > Custom Layouts' so we can show it where we want. Is this right? I had planned to buy Kadence but with Spectra plugin I will buy Wp asta full bundle. I don't understand Dynamic content popup and sidebar option as well and if i want to show a dynamic page in every post with ACF plugin, should i created this page in 'Dashboard > Astra > Custom Layouts' ? Thanks

I think you are on the right track. I would look at custom layouts / hooks and see if there is a hook location to match where you want your content to show. Spectra Pro supports ACF.

Thanks for asking. They are selling it on a different website and don't have an affiliate option available yet. Perhaps they will have a sale with the final version is launched so I'd wait a little bit.

There are some things behind, like an Astra theme builder, and there are some ahead, like Spectra One and embracing the Site Editor.

Good question. I haven't heard anything. If you are on Facebook you can ask / suggest in their group. Otherwise you will need to send them a feature request.
